Holiday guides Campbell Hall to victory over La Canada
Stop Jrue Holiday (pictured at right) and you stop the Campbell Hall boys' basketball team. One problem: More often than not, Holiday is unstoppable. Such was the case in Tuesday's 81-47 victory over La Canada in a Southern Section Division III-AA semifinal game at Harvard-Westlake High.
The UCLA-bound senior guard scored 14 of his 24 points in the first half and finished with 12 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and two steals for the top-seeded Vikings, who advance to Saturday's title game against Price at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
"Honestly, it's games like the one tonight that separate Jrue from the rest of the top players in the country,'' Campbell Hall Coach Terry Kelly said. "I've never been around a more unselfish player. He makes everyone around him better, always has.''
At one point, the Spartans were so worried about Holiday, they forgot about everyone else. And Dallas Rutherford made them pay. The senior scored 14 in the first 16 minutes of the game as Campbell Hall built an insurmountable 41-25 lead at halftime. He finished with 25 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the field.

Watching Holiday is like watching a race horse, perfectly conditioned, and seems to be the perfect athlete in mind and body.

So Campbell Hall is set to play against Price on Saturday right?
When and where is that game being held. Should be a good one I think.

Campbell Hall and Price will meet in the Southern Section Division III-AA title game on Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Tipoff is at 9 a.m. That's right, 9 a.m. in the morning. The game should be worth the early wake-up call though.

I would just like to say that it is an honor to be in the same school as Jrue. He practices daily and like the coach said, he is an unselfish person, always having a good aura for his teammates.

Thanks for the info.
Does Campbell Hall have any D-1 prospects other than Jrue Holiday?
