Well, he would have one for the thumb if they actually gave out rings for winning wrestling tournaments.

Estevan Cabanas of Canyon Springs sealed his fifth tournament victory of the season by defeating Colin Sasaki of Thousand Oaks by technical fall, 20-5, in the 112-pound finals of Saturday’s Shark Tank Invitational at Corona Santiago.

Cabanas pinned his first three opponents in the first period before defeating Colin Sasaki of Thousand Oaks, 8-4, in the semifinals. The junior, who took fifth at 103 in last year’s state tournament, already won the El Dorado Invitational, Bishop Amat Classic, West Coast Classic at Rosemead and North Torrance Tournament of Champions this season.

He’s pretty good -- see for yourself.

Cabanas’ teammate, 160-pound wrestler Brandon Johnson, was another first-place finisher at Shark Tank. Johnson has also won the Bishop Amat and North Torrance tournaments this season.
