Luis Garcia is known as "Sonic" by his teammates, and Sonic was super in the most critical of moments.
Garcia scored on a one-yard run, rushed for 70 yards in eight carries and had a 55-yard interception return late in the game as the St. Paul Swordsmen beat Palmdale, 42-14, in the Western Division title game Friday night.
"Ah, man," Garcia said, "I'm just speechless. This is unbelievable."

SONIC, (Luis Garcia #34). This junior player is St Pauls unsung hero. This kid stepped in as a sophmore last year and carried the Swordsmen to the semi finals and came back this year and didn't make one complaint when he had to take a backseat to transfer Aubrey Haynes. SP relied on him when needed and he always responded. Sonic was an awesome defensive player as well as an awesome runningback. I know one thing, SONIC will be an awesome ALL CIF player next year for SP. Get ready swordsmen to defend your CIF title.
