Some players are blessed with a ‘scoring touch’ and Amanda Lisberger’s one of them.

Brentwood’s senior striker has 10 goals and five assists in the Eagles’ first 10 games and is on pace to surpass the 25 goals and 15 assists she tallied last winter. Finding the back of the net is nothing new for the two-time Olympic League most valuable player. Not even halfway through her final season she already holds the school record with 166 career points (70 goals and 26 assists in 67 games).

Brentwood enters the break in its schedule with a 6-3-1 record and does not take the field again until a Jan. 8 nonleague contest at Marymount.

Lisberger, who has committed to Texas, is picking up where she left off in the summer, when she led her under-17 club team, Eagles SC of Camarillo, to the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship. She scored the winning goal on a header in the state finals and added three goals at the Far West Regionals.

The Korean-born 17-year-old was even invited to train with the Korean Republic national team in the spring. For now, though, Lisberger has her sights set on a third consecutive league title and a section championship to boot.

The sky’s the limit for this high-flying Eagle.
