Jordan’s Boyd doesn’t start but comes on strong

It’s usually not a good sign when your starting quarterback doesn’t start for disciplinary reasons.

Jordan’s James Boyd did not start Friday’s Eastern League showdown against Garfield by decree of Coach Elijah Asante. But he did make an impact once he got under center, rushing for one touchdown and passing for another as the host Bulldogs (as opposed to the visiting Garfield Bulldogs) built an 18-6 halftime lead.

I have a hunch Boyd starts the second half.
