Report: Obama goes NASCAR!

Obamanascar

By Dan Neil, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
Word out of Sports Illustrated is that Barack Obama's campaign will sponsor a car in the Pocono Sprint Cup race Aug. 3. In what is expected to be one-race deal — similar to hood-sponsor promotions for movies and TV shows — the No. 49 BAM Racing Toyota, with Ken Schrader at the wheel, will fly the Obama livery. Jeez. BAM Racing, Ken Schrader? I mean, hope is a wonderful thing, but Schrader doesn't have a prayer.

BAM is a low-buck, periodically unsponsored team, and the fact that team owners Beth Ann and Tony Morgenthau — described as staunch Republicans — consented to this deal is a sign of how very, um, flexible convictions can be when it comes to money and racing.

What would Wendell Scott think? Who? Exactly.

David Letterman also loves auto racing. If Barack ever gos on David Letterman maybe both of you can discuss Auto Racing? Let him know! After all there is more to life then Politics! Hey why not team up with David Letterman on this and sponsor a driver and team together? My Sis also loves NASCAR too but will only drive 50 miles per hour on the highway! Its safer that way she says.

My Most Favorite Driver is Jacques Villeneuve who just missed the Triple Crown of auto racing.

Jacques is also a great singer and I have him right next to John Mellencamp on my web site! Yes Jaques is also a great artist like John Mellencamp.

Jacques Villeneuve "Accepterais-tu?" which translates into Soulmates!

Barack Obama '08

I will not vote for this guy, I am scared, I wanted Hillary, but now I will vote for McCain. Hillary should not run as a vice , she should run for president instead of Obama

Anther fan afilmby combined a great video with highlights of Jaque's racing career and one of my favorite songs on YouTube.

Jacques Villeneuve - "Accepterais Tu" translation is Soulmates - Youtube Music Video.
