Adopt-a-Pet: Pink-Nose Picasso the snowshoe kitten [Updated]

November 16, 2010 |  8:38 pm

EastValleyKitten We're no longer at the height of kitten season, but that doesn't mean there aren't a lot of wonderful kittens waiting for new homes at animal shelters. For starters: This little guy with cute snowshoe markings (ID# A1167264), nicknamed "Pink-Nose Picasso" by volunteers at the L.A. Department of Animal Services' busy and always full-to-the-brim East Valley shelter.

Breed: Siamese, or mix thereof

Age: 3 months

About Picasso: He's playful, inquisitive and, according to volunteer and Animal Match Rescue Team Inc. founder Laura Beth Heisen, has a definite soft spot for games that involve chasing ribbons. He doesn't even mind posing for photos -- a major plus, since anyone lucky enough to adopt this fellow will surely want to document his good looks. "He is absolutely precious with that pink nose," Heisen says, "and he loves to cuddle."

For more information:Meet Picasso in person at the East Valley shelter, 14409 Vanowen St. in Van Nuys, or call (888) 4LAPET1 with his ID number to learn more.

[Update 11/22: Picasso has been adopted! Congratulations, Picasso!]

Shelter staff, volunteers and 501(c)(3) pet rescue charities in Southern California: Got an adoptable pet you think we should feature here? E-mail us a short bio and photo or video embed code. We'll showcase as many pets as we can, but please note that we may not be able to post all submissions.
