We thought we’d seen it all when we first saw Amadeus, a spunky Chihuahua who hangs out at a Monroe, Wash., billiard parlor and runs around on pool tables sinking balls.

Pool-playing dogs, we thought. Who could have imagined it?

That was before we encountered the video above, in which a dog named Halo not only sinks billiard balls into the pockets, but does so with a technical expertise we never would have thought possible.

Halo seems to have a firm grasp of geometry -- a much firmer grasp than our own on the subject, we are ashamed to point out -- and even without the aid of a pool cue is able to make shots that many humans we know wouldn’t be able to sink.

OK, so Halo does seem to have one trait in common with Amadeus -- he doesn’t quite get that the cue ball isn’t supposed to go into the pocket. We can forgive him that.

See another video of Halo in action after the jump!
