Your morning adorable: Rescued baby sloths have a (slow) eating contest
We love both sloths and videos of animals eating, so we view YouTube user juliagaudette's video of rescued baby sloths at Costa Rica's Aviarios Sloth Sanctuary as an adorable home run.
Something about these little guys reminds us -- in a strange, slow-motion way -- of Japanese competitive-eating sensation Takeru Kobayashi (minus his unfortunate run-in with the law).
Aviarios has been raising orphaned baby sloths and nursing injured or ailing adult sloths back to health since 1992. Since sloths are slow-moving, they're no match for cars, so baby sloths lose one or both parents far more often than anyone would like. Fortunately for these guys, they have folks looking out for them -- and all the vegetables they could want.
