We were flabbergasted by YouTube user Amphibiansunrise‘s video of a baby skunk whose reaction to a good scratch is strikingly doglike.

The little fellow is one of three orphaned baby skunks that Amphibiansunrise raised before releasing them back into the wild. This scratching session occurred when the skunk was sated following a meal. ‘Physical touch is beneficial when the babies are very young,’ Amphibiansunrise explains, adding that close contact with humans has to be phased out as the skunks grow to ensure they don’t become too comfortable with humans.

First a baby squirrel who kicks like a dog while being scratched, and now this! Sometimes we just don’t know what to do with ourselves, surrounded by all this cuteness.
