Your morning adorable: Young rooster learning to crow

We’re big fans of chickens, don’t get us wrong -- but we wouldn’t, under normal circumstances, be inclined to describe a rooster as ‘adorable.’

Throw in the fact that it’s a baby rooster, though, and we begin to get somewhere. Then add to that the fact that this baby rooster is making his very first attempt at crowing -- apparently a more difficult feat than we realized -- and the end result is decidedly adorable indeed.

We hope that this little guy’s skills have improved somewhat since this video was first uploaded to YouTube in 2008. But even if they haven’t improved, we suspect this now-adult rooster is a fun guy to have around -- and, as an added bonus, his tiny little crow attempts probably don’t wake the neighbors.
