Your morning adorable: Duck plays on a slide

We could scarcely believe our eyes when we first saw YouTube user QueenCoreen's pet duck, Quackers, sliding down a child's slide into a lake.

We knew that ducks like water -- heck, there's even a well-known expression to that effect. But slides? That was a bit of a surprise -- albeit a decidedly pleasant one -- for us.

Quackers seems to be about the most charming and pleasant duck we've ever encountered; beyond his sliding exploits, he enjoys having his belly rubbed and engaging in vigorous, rough-and-tumble play with QueenCoreen's Yorkshire terrier, Molly. ("Sometimes the duck wins and sometimes the dog wins," QueenCoreen says.)

Now that's our kind of duck -- not like some attack ducks we can think of.

This video and the other two in the series shows nothing more that this duck is being used as nothing more than a toy and is bordering on cruelty. I would urge this family to seek advice on duck behaviour so they can understand the distress Quackers is under when put in these unnatural situations. Fear should not be mistaken for 'calmness' and the duck is clearly NOT enjoying 'wrestling' with the dog nor is he comfortable with being cradled upside down like a child.
They clearly love this duck and are unaware of the stress they are putting her under in these situations. I hope they read this and start to treat the duck as a duck rather than a toy or a dog.
