It's Take Your Dog To Work Day. Are you and your pet celebrating?

June 26, 2009 |  2:02 pm

Today is Take Your Dog To Work Day, an event founded 10 years ago by the group Pet Sitters International to celebrate dogs and encourage pet adoption.  Pet Sitters International estimates that thousands of employers will open their doors to well-behaved dogs today.  Is your pet among them?

If you're participating in Take Your Dog To Work Day (or if your pet is a regular at the office), we'd love to see it!  Show us by submitting your photo or video at the link below.

Want to bring your dog to work every day, but your employer's not so keen on the prospect?  A new book, "Dogs at Work: A Practical Guide to Creating Dog-Friendly Workplaces," may help.  Cowritten by the Humane Society's Jennifer Fearing and celebrated dog trainer Liz Palika, "Dogs at Work" offers step-by-step advice to making your workplace pet-friendly.  It's available on Amazon and HSUS.org.
