We told you recently about a Temecula man who was arrested after authorities found hundreds of dogs and cats -- both alive and dead -- at his home. KTLA offers this more detailed look at the case and the state of the animals who were unfortunate enough to figure into it.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports that the puppies rescued from 66-year-old Elisao Jimenez’s home are ‘behaving like playful little fur balls’ and are doing well in foster care. When they’re a little older, they’ll be available for adoption through the group Animal Friends of the Valleys.
