Lots of fans and a lone eagle watch Amgen Tour bicyclists

February 23, 2009 |  2:16 pm

The final leg of the 750-mile Amgen Tour of California championship bicycle race was lined Sunday with curious spectators, and one curious golden eagle from the nearby Wild Animal Park of the San Diego Zoo.

Tonka and animal trainer Annette Russell were there when eventual winner Levi Leipheimer zoomed past in the lead. Lance Armstrong was in third position.
