Your morning adorable: Lion cubs at Germany's Dortmund Zoo

Germany's Dortmund Zoo has a a new addition: two lion cubs.  The babies are about a month old.  (Their spots will disappear as they age, although remnants may remain on their legs and bellies.)

In the wild, a large percentage of lion cubs die before they reach age 2 (the numbers vary by location and range from 14% to 73%, according to the BBC).  When a new male enters a lion pride, it's common for him to kill all the pride's existing cubs.  Fortunately for these guys, they look well cared for, and not an adult male in sight!

More photos after the jump.
