The San Diego Zoo hosts Koalapalooza, a celebration of all Australian animals whose names begin with K, from Jan. 16-19. Animals like koalas (naturally), kangaroos and kookaburras take center stage, and zoogoers can vote on a name for a koala joey whose face you may have seen before on Unleashed.

Other activities include hands-on lessons, scavenger hunts, and live music (including demonstrations of every hippie’s favorite instrument, the didgeridoo). For more information, check out the zoo’s website.
