La Canada residents perturbed over peacocks

December 15, 2008 |  3:11 pm

La Canada’s burgeoning peacock population is both novelty and nuisance for the lucky residents whose yards they use as toilets.

Yes, the peacock is a beautiful sight, but its sound is raucous, with a caw not conjured up since the days of Alfred Hitchcock’s "Birds." Some residents just want the cackling critters gone.

C'mon folks, can't we all just get along?
