Joe Biden's puppy gets a name

As promised, Joe Biden's grandchildren unveiled the name of his new German Shepherd puppy when the family gathered on Christmas morning.

The puppy's brand-new name? Champ, according to Biden's spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander.  Politico reports:

The name has sentimental significance for Biden, whose dad always told him growing up, "Get up champ," whenever he was having a tough time. Biden often mentioned it in his campaign speeches, where he would recall his father saying "Any time you get knocked down, champ — get up!"

As we told you last week, the Bidens plan to adopt a second dog (likely a Golden Retriever) after the inauguration. Stay tuned!

Good on you, Maisy and Hunter...Champ is a most perfect name for Joe's puppy. Especially for those of us who know of the personal and political pain and challenge our next Vice President has gone through and still stood tall, I say love to you Joe Biden. And as our new VP, America could not be any more fortunate...you bring a wealth of talent and experience, honesty and integrity. Please enjoy your puppy, Champ.

The name Joe Biden has chosen for his new German Shepard puppy is perfect. I am sure he will live up to his name. Looking forward to meeting the next member of the Biden family.

Instead of complaining about where Biden got his dog, some people should concentrate on their own lives or maybe get one.
