With all the talk surrounding the Obamas’ future pet (the discussion even made it into the president-elect’s first press conference), it’s only natural to take a look back at presidential pets of yesteryear.

With that in mind, we’d like to draw your attention to a photo gallery displayed on Latimes.com today. It’s chock-full of all your favorites (Millie, anyone?) and lesser-known characters, including Benjamin Harrison’s pet goat, Old Whiskers. (Yes, seriously!)
