Tiger cubs prompt oohs and ahs

Jaya, a Sumatran tiger cub, licks its handler while on show in Brisbane, Australia, today. Two endangered 12-month-old Sumatran tigers from Dreamworld mesmerized crowds ahead of National Threatened Species Day on Sunday.

It's been quite a season for tiger newborns at zoos. In August, an Amur tiger cub, below, at the Pittsburgh Zoo struck an appropriately laid-back pose for summer.
