A night we've waited for

With finals over, the first semester complete, I finally have the opportunity to relax -- at least for a little while.
I have some plans, including having a "Rambo" marathon before going to see the new Stallone flick, playing a couple pick up games of basketball and football, saying goodbye to some of my college friends who are finally going back to school, and going to Disneyland.
But the first thing on my agenda is Senior Bowling Night.
I have to give credit to the senior class officers for planning this event; they have made it an appealing Thursday night activity. While the event will end up losing money for the class, it is a safe and fun way for the class to get together off campus to relax and unwind from all the stress associated with being seniors. While there were some hiccups in the planning process, the people in charge handled it nicely. In fact, the only complaint I have about Senior Bowling Night is that it took us so long to facilitate an event like this. We have waited seven-eighths of our high school careers before we have decided to hang out as a group.
While I am ready to leave South Pasadena to face a larger world, I will miss the people I have grown up with and appreciate this kind of event as I eagerly await those fat packets with my name on them.

Did you break 100?

How many kids are there in your class? Are there five or six elected "class officers" and no one else? Keep in mind that for the first 3/4 of your time in high school the kids who are doing bowling night NOW were worrying about other matters THEN. I get that you're really just being sentimental. Still, if you had such a yearning for class-wide community, you too could have spoken up three years ago.
This is a great lesson to take to USC or to any college you attend.
All the best!
