San Diego charter school problems
An investigation at San Diego's acclaimed Preuss Charter School has concluded that, among other things, "the principal and former counselor likely had knowledge of and/or directed inappropriate grade changes."

Then this week, UC San Diego News Center reported that the principal, Doris Alvarez, has submitted a letter of resignation, effective immediately. Here's that report.
And in November, Helen Gao wrote in the San Diego Union-Tribune: "A former teacher at a nationally known charter school based at UC San Diego claims she was fired after she complained about grade-tampering and cooperated with university investigators." Read the whole story.
