Will Globes fishtail gowns spawn at the Oscars?
The Golden Globes carpet was awash with appropriately classy "serious actress" garb, stiff updos, red lips, ruched and ruffled frocks, as well as a veritable ocean of glamorous flared fishtail-hem gowns.
Given the size of some of the gowns, it's a wonder there was any room on the carpet (or the parties) for these actresses' dates!

As for Jennifer Lopez's glittery Marchesa gown? Yikes. I think a few more squats and lunges are in order. When she walked past me, it looked like there were two disco balls in the backside of her dress, struggling to get out.
BTW, I'm one of the few fashion critics who actually loved seeing one brave and unique fashion statement: Marisa Tomei's elegant ruffled sleeve blouse, gold chains, gorgeous beaded belt and long black skirt (pictured). Very Faye Dunaway, circa 1977.
The only thing better would have been Marisa Tomei naked.
I'm not kidding. Did you see "The Wrestler" yet?
I rest my case.
