Taylor Lautner talked with Access Hollywood about his role in "New Moon" and all the bulk he's gained for the older, more muscular Jacob Black.
He'd already put on 20 pounds by a few weeks ago, and had guaranteed he'd add another 10, six of which he's already packed on. He says he hopes to go even "above and beyond" that.
"New Moon" starts filming in March, so he's got some time.
Oh, and Taylor has no idea how big his biceps have gotten.
And frankly, we think that’s a good thing. But check out the six-pack!

I still think it was a bad move to keep this kid as Jacob...and this has nothing to do with th fact that I hate the character in book 2 & 3...lol
This has to do with the fact that he supposed to look 25...and is supposed to TOWER over Edward...
But wtv it's not like I expected them to stay true to the book...(Like book 1 u know?!)
Anyhow, I will try to not hurl my soda at the screen whenever his image shows up- I'm going to see the movie for Alice, EC and Bella getting back together. And thats it.

Please. I think he plays an awesome Jacob Black! I"m very glad they have decided to keep him on. Plus your not going to find some one whoms going to be 7 ft tall! I think you need to go back and read the books better to understand them!

Ohhhh my gosh!!! He is the hottest male on the face of this earth! I am absolutely estatic that they picked him for Jacob! I was going to be severely ticked off if they didn't. He is perfect! And duh, of course you aren't going to find someone 7 foot tall who can act! Maybe a basketball player, but not an actor. IM SO HAPPY!
His muscles are huge! I can't stop looking at them! :)

"Jacob's in, Edward is out" *ROFL* That is SUCH a Jacob thing to say! That's just hilarious. I'm so glad they kept Taylor. I can't believe just how disciplined he is!! Forget the whole "looking 25" BS. If that HAD to be true, too many of the current cast members have to be recast also. That's NOT going to happen. Taylor is the best choice for Jacob Black.

Well, his growth spurt is supposed to "start" in New Moon. He won't actually TOWER over Edward until Eclipse or Breaking Dawn.
I think this kid looks the part of Jacob Black. He's similar to what I would have imagined him to be at this stage in the story.

Black....as long as he looks bigger than Edward on the big screen that is. He should probably bulk up a lot more than 30lbs..he's suppose to look like a beast!! If he works on that then he's perfect

Lol, how is robert going to workout because taylor looks more buff. I dont really think robert is trying hard enough to understand his role as a vampire, he plays edward very emo like...oh well we'll see how the movie turns out.

i love jacob, but you can have your own opinion about him.
but, if you havent noticed, movies never stay exactly true to the book, and i dont think they wouldve really had someone who was like 7 1/2 feet tall to play jacob...
and they mightve gotten like alotta actors just to show like the transition...hmm...i just thought of that...but then again no....
but still he's working hard to keep his role!
plus, i personally think it would be weird to have and actor change, especially w/ a fanbase as large as taylors, they would be getting some serious hate mail.
lmao, plz dont get offended by this in any way...if any of you would get offended somehow, just remember the book is always so much better than the movie, so go read that!
im very happy that they kept him, so if your not, than good for you, thats your opinion and i wouldnt want to change that. not everyone can like taylor.
