Rand Memorial Hospital in the Bahamas tells TMZ that actor John Travolta's son died today.
The 16-year-old Jett was vacationing with Travolta and his wife actress Kelly Preston.
According to Reuters, Jett had a a history of seizures and suffered one at the family's vacation home in Old Bahama Bay Hotel
There have long been reports that Jett was autistic, though longtime Scientologist Travolta has always denied it.
According to the actor, his son suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome, a rare condition which often leads to heart disease.
This is so incredibly, incredibly sad. Our deepest sympathies to John and Kelly. They also have a daughter, Ella Blue, born in 2000.
Update: According to CNN, a caretaker at the Bahamian resort where the Travoltas were vacationing found the teen unconcious in the bathroom, after apparently hitting his head on the bathtub. Jett was rushed by ambulance to Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport and was pronounced DOA, police said.

This is a terrible accident. My heart goes out to the family. I used to have seizures and hope that John sees this and contacts me. It is my calling to let those who have seizures to have the chance to see if surgery would cure their seizure activity. I let to many years go by before finding the answer to my problem.
