"Britney Spears: For the Record" unanswered questions

Well, we all watched Britney Spears show-little, tell-less documentary last night, right?

The MTV doc was billed as a no-holds barred, full-access mission into Britney Spears' real life, which apparently consists of nothing but dance rehearsals,  studio recordings, never-ending hair and makeup sessions, shopping trips, and avoiding paparazzi and fans while toodling around in a black SUV.

What did we learn, other than the fact that she has two fragrances available just in time for Christmas?

Britney_spears We found out she is bored, lonely, afraid to trust others, that she was involved with "bad people,"  that she wishes she had just gone back to Louisiana after her split from Kevin Federline and that she loves her babies, both of whom are still in her ex's custody.

How she feels about that, we don't know,  because she was not asked.

Oh, she also wonders, “What was I thinking?” about her psychotic experiences earlier this year.

Well, Britney, join the club. Because that’s what some of your fans are still wondering.

There was absolutely no truth-telling in this mock-umentary.

The whole show was a well-orchestrated, manipulative attempt to make everyone feel very sorry for Britney Spears, who is now trapped once again in a tightly controlled celebrity prison. The doc successfully made it clear that poor little Brit-Brit is a performing monkey in her own "Circus."

All together now, awwwwww!

We did not find out what her mental diagnosis was and is, what kind of medications she was on and is on, what other drugs she may have been taking or been given by unscrupulous people, what caused her to lock herself in the bathroom with one of her children, an episode which ended with her being forcibly taken to a hospital psych ward.

The most telling moment of the entire 90 minutes was when a clearly clueless Britney explained her bizarre public head-shaving with the observation, “Everyone shaves their head.”

No, not everyone shaves their head, Britney. I think most people would truthfully say they don’t know a single woman who has shaved her head.

Demi Moore and Natalie Portman don’t count. That was for movie roles.

What did you think of "Britney Spears: For the Record?" Did you feel that she answered the big questions? What else do you want to know?

And will you buy that book she promised at the end? Was this tell-all documentary just a commercial for her upcoming tell-all book, which is probably already being ghostwritten as we speak?

You mentioned she is promoting 2 "new" fragrances for the holiday season. Those 2 fragrances have been around since 2004. Do your research.

Though I love Britney, they didn't really say anything we didn't really know- I mean it's her private life and all, but I didn't see the point of this whole thing honestly. Though I thought she looked great.

You call yourself a fan? who are you to judge? No celebrity or anyone for that matter would go on TV and air their laundry. its frankly none of our business. This is her private, personal life, we have no business going into it. You should stop being so damn nosy and find something better to do with your time. The questions left "unanswered" were left that way because its none of our business. She is human just like the rest of us and she DESERVES privacy. And if you can't respect that i suggest you stop writing until you understand. Would you like me to inquire about your sex life or married status? no, you wouldn't. So why do it with Britney?

I think you hit the nail on the head. It seemed like a pity show for Brit, a rehearsed pity show, but a pity show none the less . Yeah we all know she's been through a lot. For the most part it was all documented on TV. I think the reason for the show being rate G so to speak is because her over demanding manager Larry rudolph was one of the producers in the doc. Just by watching the show, you can tell he treats her like a trained Bloody monkey. I think if she's lonely and tired of the spot lite. why not go back home and take a nice long R&R break at her families home. long as in a year or 2 not a week!

I do not think the purpose of thi documentary was tell all, it show a little glimpse of what Britney's life is.

Right now her interviews and everything is so controlled by her manager etc that I think she never will answered those questions.. its clearly that she want to close that chapter .. if she tells the truth about drugs, medicines, health conditions etc I think will hurt moree than help her, remember she still doesnt have any kind of custody of her kids... past is past and the future is what matters.

Dear Elizabeth,
Why do you sound so mean?
And what do you have against women shaving their heads? You may not know anyone who has done it, but look at your world....In NYC you can often see women with shaved heads. I have done it myself, and I know at least three others personally who have done it at least once....It is very liberating and exciting....You should try it! Maybe it will make you happier.

Of course the media would tear apart the documentary, cause it wasn't "juicy" enough. Get over it! I think it showed how the mass masteria of the press and how people crowd you can scare you and drive you nuts. How she can't even walk down the street with out security, much less take her children on outtings. Lets not forget you can still do that. You can go out to dinner with out someone writing some bullshit in a magizine or a newspaper about you that is usually miscontrued just like your OPINION of the documentary. You wrote this to get a reaction and I am dumb for giving it to you. I don't think its any of our business what goes on in her life, she gave quite enough, more than most people would give on their personal life. Yeah you can say she made the choice by becoming famous, but the truth is what she said the first 2 years of signings she was like wow I'm famous, wow people are asking me for my autograph then after years it becomes old! Just like any job does. I am sure you don't always like to write, I am sure you don't always like waking up to go to work. I am sure especially when you were her age you REBELLED we all have. WE ALL HAVE MADE MISTAKES the only difference is hers is video taped and documented and fabricated! GET OVER YOURSELF and your PESSIMISTIC ATTITUDE on a young woman that is definitely TRYING!

KISSES

KELLY

Are you on any pharmeceuticals at this time? If so what are they? What is your dianosis? Do yo0u consider yourself weak because of your 'prescribed' chemical dependense?????Why can't she just be promoting her album? As if she really needs to, and as much as I dont like her I am still able to admit that she will outsell any deserving artist's feeble atempt at a record coming this month. Let it go. I want to see her achieve an honorable level of womanhood in the future and that does not come to pass by succumbing to higher levels of scrutiny and surveilance from those with a sick and obtuse since of degenerated consumer disdain.

No wonder nobody reads your articles! All you do is bring people down! First, her medications or personal life is none of your business. Second, she will still be successful because of her ability to make people feel SOMETHING whether good or bad (In your case, bad, in which you should think about not saying anything at all if you don't have anything good to say. about them..). You write bad things about someone you don't know, and you are unsure of whether they are true or not. In addition, they have absolutely no utility. I guess they pay you for that... Awww, too bad...Good luck!!!

The chaotic celebrity lifestyle she cultivates mixed with the stress of her career combine to make her extremely vulnerable for additional episodes of mania and depression (if she in fact has bipolar disorder) Stress, lack of routine, irregular sleep patterns, changing time zones, drug abuse/risk for using again ---all of these things combine to make her exceptionally vulnerable to another manic or depressive episode. I wish her luck, but I'm skeptical about how long her combeback will last before she has another episode. Hope she stays on her medicine and has a good team of docs and therapists who are advising her on how to manage her illness.

Wow That is seriously one of the worst articles on the documentary I have ever read.

Do you guys NOT feel anything when you watched this? This film was very powerful and moving and let me tell you this, every single person has felt more connectino with Britney after watching this.

Also, why the hell do u guys wanna know more about Britney? She doesn't owe the public anything, its her life, JUST BE GRATEFUL SHES COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO EVEN DISCUSS HER LIFE!

THIS.ARTICLE.IS.BS.

You guys are obviously Britney haters, seriously get alife stop being so judgemental.

I think that Britney is a phenomenal woman. What she does is her choice. There are people out there that do worse than her. I think people just need to leave her alone, let her live her life the way she wants to.

I look up to Britney, she is a huge inspiration to me. She makes me want to be a better person. She is so real, and so strong especially from what she has been through and what she is going through.

I couldn't agree more with this!! I thought I was the only one that felt this way! I am a huge Britney supporter but I did feel a little jipped. And if its none of our business, then dont do a "tell all" documentary if you dont plan on telling all. The documentary was well done just lacking in many aspects. Still love you, Brit.

Well, apparently Ms. Snead, you haven't a compassionate bone in your body. Even without the sappy music, you can clearly tell that Britney is so trapped in her own celebrity that it has made her life into a mental flatline. I'd love if you could honestly tell me you'd like to live the same life and that you could handle it better.

I commend Britney for doing this film...period. She obviously didn't have to, and quite honestly it is really none of any of our business "what she was thinking," or what her medical diagnosis was, or especially what the hell types of meds she may be on. It is riduculous (not to mention sad) that someone would suggest that she owes us the answer as to what meds she's taking. Is our lives really that pathetic? Gimme a break. Not to mention her "breakdown" is no more than a year old, the wounds are still fresh, analyzation is still in progress, and she is still fighting the courts for her kids. I think it took courage to do the film, and I think that she did so for her fans, and to try to show people who she is, where she has come in her struggles, and let us in a bit. That doesn't mean that she is required to disclose every aspect of her life. It is pathetic that anyone would have expected that. Her job is as an artist, an entertainer, and obviously with that comes scrutiny and constant invasion of privacy, but she owes us nothing more that to do her job as an artist, an entertainer. Maybe in due time she will choose to talk more about her personal life, maybe not. Maybe you (the author of this article) need to get a bit of a life yourself and you may find better things to worry about than what meds Britney Spears takes.

I'm not sure why my comment was not posted, but I also wanted to add the fact that it is precisely pathetic people as yourself that caused, or at least highly contributed to, Britney's "breakdown" in the first place. I get it, that is your job right? As cold and calous as it is, it's your job. The media covered every second of that time in her life because of public interest, but now this? Even when she is deserving of gratitude she gets ripped apart. Even when she is showing strength and courage, she's called weak, and articles like this are written to keep the public pressing for more. The public does not feed the media, the media feeds the public, and it's sick. People like you won't be happy unless she fails,.You won't be satisfied unless she crashes, unless she falls. You're not making any money if she is doing well, so you pry and you push with hopes that she will break and fall apart and have an episode. It is you that are sick, not Britney.

I was very impressed with last nights show. I thought that she was very strong to actually admit some of her downfalls on TV. Yeah fame does come at a price, but at what price? Most of us have rebelled at some point in our lives, we were just fortunate not to have it thrown in our faces over and over and over! I totally agree with 'Still Curious' let's see how the average Joe would handle this!

It's none of our business to know what her diagnosis was or what medications she was/is on. We should feel sorry for her..she went through a lot and in the public eye..she's a normal person and people should leave her alone.

I love Britney. She's obviously had a hard time and my heart goes out to her. As a mother, I know the custody situation alone is devastating. I'm tired of the media's snotty and mean spirited approach. what ever happened to legitimate journalism? Hey Elizabeth Snead, didn't they teach you to be objective ? if you don't like Britney, don't write about her, don't watch her documentary.

I know more than one woman who has shaved her head. I'm sorry that doesn't jibe with your snarkyness.

Um, the reporter never stated they made any type of bid for fame, thus their medication history, etc is irrevalent. Maybe someone should check out what criticism is; Britney Spears' label put this together, and it deserves the relatively tame points the authors makes, like the constant "awww....fame is tough!" teenage angst when there is something obviously much darker going on. Ms Spears is firmly in the grasp of a PR firm that does not want to address any of the motivations regarding her increasingly bizarre behavior over the past year. However, they still want to promote her items for sale, and try to hope against hope that kids will still be opiated into being interested her. Yeah, leave Britney alone.....lol...her addiction to attention is the real tragedy, and the silly children who state to the critic "you are sick, not Britney" (even though the reporter was never forceably hospitalized, does not have a conservator and should wear a crown as a member of the mentally ill crowd if we take your insults to their logical extreme.)

She is a sad little girl....and even in NYC one of the few who spontaneously shaves their head for attention (CONTEXT, people!). She is a symptom of a disease. I hope she releases this before clutching for dear life to anything yet again, like so many pop tarts of various ages are doing at this very moment.

Honest review. Thanks.

I think she sounded coached. I feel for her though. As she said other celebs can go walk their kids or go to the store. She can't even walk to her car with her kids. Honestly it isn't any of our businesses what was wrong with her, I personally think she may have had post depression from having her kids. It happens to the best of people, and can really take a toll on someone who is as young as she is, has never had to grow up, in a bad relationship and had two babies back to back. And all the people who follow her should be shot! Give it a rest.. I mean really.. we don't need a pic of her every waking moment. It's starting to look like a Princess Di, and we all know that didn't end very well. Any "regular" person who was stalked and had their personal space invaded would sue and have people arrested why is is so different for celebs?

The "documentary" was so lame. The interviewer didn't even ask any of the questions that we want andwered; such as, why did she start talking in a British accent for an entire summer? This is not a comeback and the pitty party for her at VMA was disgusting. She got awarded for a song and video that was not even a hit and never aired on MTV. Her life and career died when Justin left her and that's pretty much the only thing she makes clear in the documentary. I'm so sick of her computerized songs and her failed attempts to pass off her wigs as her real hair. She probably has a buzz cut underneath. It's so sad to finally know that K-Fed was the normal one in the relationship and the kids are better off with him. And by the way, she's still really fat.

I thought the documentry was great! I love Britney! She is extremly talented and seems like a down to earth girl!
Her whole point that she was trying to get across was that money does not buy happiness. Look how much money she has and she is trapped inside her own home. She does not want us to feel bad for her she wants us to know what she has been through and why she did the things that she did.
To whoever wrote this: Why would we want or even need to know what kind of meds she is on?? That is private information that she does not need to share with the whole world if she is on any kind of meds.

GO BRITNEYYY!!!!!! (=

All your unanswered questions are none of our business. Would it have been anymore entertaining had she divulged what medications she was taking when she had a breakdown? No, we all would have gone on with our day to day lives regardless if we know what really happened to Britney Spears. This isn't news, its a young woman's LIFE, its not our business. She is damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. Perhaps Elizabeth Snead should be more concerned with the fact that her journilism is so poor she is stuck writing crappy reviews on a pop stars life then on real news.
