Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is still No. 1 in some people's hearts and minds.

And now her 2009 calendar is currently the No. 1 seller on Amazon.com’s list of office products and supplies, beating out a nifty pair of scissors.

The calendar-maker is Judy Patrick, a former Wasilla deputy mayor and F.O.S., as well as an Anchorage-based photog who used her own stash of pix of the governor and her family to create the calendar.

Thank heavens this turned out to be a gag gift for Christmas 2008 and not a portent of the new U.S. vice president taking office in 2009.

Let's face it. Women, such as Liz Sneed, the View crew and others simply don't measure up to Sarah in the looks department. They never will. This is why she is hated by the vein, self-absorbed and self-important prople in our society. These people can't understand why someone so good looking can also be more intelligent. Of course, we in Alaska know that Sarah is, as can easily be understood by folks like you and me and you, whatever the idea is that is being made the point of, so that's what you can expect from the likes of those who are, of course, them. Sarah is, with a doubt, what some would call, perhaps meaning well or meaning to be just, well, plain mean, a person who can see whatever is, naturally, there. We in Alaska think that everyone should, but many either don't or don't want to, or can't or can't want to. Of course, that's up to them or those, according to their God-given right to whatever right they were given. By God, I mean.

Steve, I disagree. The best person for the job WAS elected. She should have blinked. If she comes back in a few years and can actually talk about current events coherently, then maybe she has a chance. The argument that she is the executive of the largest state in the US just don't mesh. Alaska has and will continue to have people on the states payroll that actually know what they are doing. They were there before she became governor and will be there when she is not. I'm sure many of us have had to work for people who didn't know their behinds from a whole in the ground. Popularity can get you where your skills (or lack thereof) can't keep you. Again, she should have blinked - big time.

Glad you got the message. It's gonna be a LONG time before the Palinistas grow up, get educated or find a good sitcom to watch.

Let's be thankful that Bush will be gone soon, and that Cheney will have to go back to stealing money from the corporate side of the aisle instead of being on the government dole, as he's been for these eight years.

As for "Sista" Sarah, she's history. The GOP money machine isn't gonna invest in that turkey.
