Ryan Reynolds, Sandra Bullock's 'Proposal' could be holiday fun

Maybe it's just the approaching holiday season combined with the deadly serious Oscar-contender movies I've been subjected to lately ("Revolutionary Road," "The Reader," "The Wrestler," "Australia," "Defiance").

But the trailer for "The Proposal," a new romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, actually makes the movie look refreshingly amusing. (Of course, don't ask Sandra about her dress!)

I'll see anything with Betty White in it. And now that I've seen Ryan without his shirt, I totally get why Scarlett Johansson grabbed him. He's funny and sexy! (Read here about their surprise wedding.)

Maybe Ryan got all buff for his role in the upcoming "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," due out in May 2009. He'll play Deadpool, a killer with "Heroes" Cheerleader-style self-healing properties.

The bad news is that "The Proposal" won't open until June 2009, conveniently riding on the coattails of "Wolverine."

Did anyone else not know how hot Ryan is? Please tell me I'm not alone....
