According to TMZ, Mayer will host a weekly music, variety and sketch show for the CBS network. And it may start as soon as early 2009.
Ken Ehrlich (who produces the Emmys and Grammys) will produce the show with Mayer.
The Emmys? You mean, the show that was so deadly dull this year that it was actually impossible to watch?

Doesn't anyone remember his VH1 special "John Mayer Has A TV Show"? A few years back? He was hilarious! He'd make a great host!

No wonder Aniston could boast that Mayer will not be dumping her to the curb in front of TMZ anymore.
