World Music Awards ditch host Lindsay Lohan! For Denise Richards?
First "Ugly Betty" boots Lindsay Lohan.
Now the World Music Awards have dumped Lohan as the host of the upcoming annual awards, held in Monaco.
Why they hired her again is anyone's guess. The last time she hosted in 2006, she messed up and introduced Beyonce while the singer was still getting her hair done.
Nervous about her ability to handle the job, the organizers reportedly asked that other career fast-tracker, "Desperate Housewives" former lawn boy Jesse Metcalfe, to help Lindsay out. But she didn’t like that idea.
So who will replace Lindsay? Denise Richards. Yikes. To be replaced by Richards speaks volumes about where one is on the celebrity totem pole.
Gosh, who'dathunk once-washed-up Britney Spears would be making an amazing career comeback while Lindsay Lohan's acting and music career sinks like a rock?
What is Lindsay doing wrong? Any ideas and/or advice?

I think a lot of people are turned off by her keeping her relationship with sam a 'secret'. Everyone knows what's going on. when a celebrity isn't totally open with that sort of thing it makes them seem untrustworthy and like they are sneaking around with some shameful secret (which by the way being a lesbian in today's world is so not a big deal and could only help her career). Granted she doesn't have to air all of her dirty laundry but just live her life honestly and without any shame. The fact she's not doing that is probably turning off a lot of would-be fans.

lindsay is awesome. talented, lively and electrically alive. she doesn't have to be "open" about her love life. if her career dips, it's normal. starts have highs and lows. but i wish her - ad sam - huge luck. i think it was really brave for them to get involved. everyone who puts lindsay down is just jealous. go lindsay! you rock!

I think she excels the most in comedy, which is, i think the most difficult genre to do well.
All Lohan needs is a decent script and a couple of good actors to work with and she is capable , more than most of delivering the goods. She's still young and the negative press hasn't helped her career at all. The press have seemed to have made her a scapegoat. Nature of the film industry are the highs and lows. Can't think of any actor who made constant blockbusters one after the other. Even the heavyweights like Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts make the odd flop :)
