According to Fox News’ Pop Tart, Prince William may be planning to hook up with the newly single Paris Hilton on New Year’s Eve in Australia
Now that's a "gotcha" rebound, if ever we've heard one. The House of Windsor meets the House of Hilton.
Seems Hilton and her ex, Benji Madden, have a gig to attend the launch party for a new social online networking system, Bongo Virus, in Australia. Paris is booked to host. Benji is set to spin.
But since Prince William spent time with Paris in London when she was there for her “My BFF” show, she may have ended it with Benji to make room for Willy.
Bongo Virus confirmed that Prince William had been invited to the New Year's Eve bash but declined further comment. Wonder if Kate Middleton knows about this NY Eve date?
"We aren't that worried if Benji and Paris don't want to come together," said the Fox News insider. "But we know Paris will definitely be there, and we can't wait."
So did Prince William's extra attention irk Benji?
Benji can be well, kind of jealous and controlling, which apparently played a significant role in his split from former fiancée Sophie Monk. "He was always angry that guys were hitting on her,” says our Down Under source.
Now that the former Queen of the Nightlife is back to her old tricks, there’s nothing like a little royal attention to put the sizzle back into Paris’ sagging image.
"Paris has seriously let her image slip since being with Benji,” says our insider. “She desperately needs some exciting headlines to boost her ratings!”
The strange part about this is the unsettling fact that Paris Hilton thrives in the celebrity-obsessed culture that probably killed Princess Diana, Prince William's mother.
Creepy.

Paris is smart, beautiful and savvy. The Prince is level headed and sensible. A match might actually work with these two!

What gets me is that he was so upset that Kate had a spill on the ice rink (big bloody deal!), and yet he's not concerned about being seen with a piece of whore trash like PH.

Gee Kate must be seething. Any assertion of independence on her part is quashed by The Palace flunkies eg organisisng a roller disco for charity. But Prince William openly socialise with the like of PH. Maybe a set of double standards. The sooner William realises what a gem he has in Kate the better.

It might actually work. Paris will never die of extra media attention. Hopefully, she'd be mature by the time William propose to her.
