Variety is reporting that the Jonas Brothers -- Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and the "Bonus Jonas" Frankie, 8 -- will star in -– are you ready? "Walter the Farting Dog."
The family-friendly film is based on a best-selling children's book series of the same name. The main character, Walter, is a grossly fat dog with really, really bad gas.
The Jonas Brothers will play musicians who help their parents care for their aunt's dog just before she passes away.
"By the time they’ve driven the dog home, everybody’s head is out the window of the family station wagon but Frankie, and only because he has a serious sinus problem and doesn’t notice the stench coming from Walter," director Peter Farrelly (“There’s Something About Mary”) told Variety.
Filming starts next spring.
Actually, it could be pretty funny. And pretty successful. lord knows there are a lot of 6-year-olds, 16-year-olds, even 46-year-olds who just love canine flatulence humor. A comedy for all ages!
Let's just hope it's not released in smell-o-vision.

Wonderful. Further evidence of the degradation of society. I'm thrilled that all of the numb gumshoe kids of the new millennium will be treated to such well-thought-out work.
I'm sure that all of those people who spent their lives developing motion picture technology are thrilled that their efforts have come to this.
Forget Lassie, Old Yeller and My Dog Skip ... let's drink pop, eat candy and listen to a dog fart on film. Get me outta here !

Ughh I love JB which means I would go see this, but it sounds horrible! They shouldn't do that! It's the dumbest movie ever!
Yeah I know, that's exactly what they want, to attract all the teenage girls to come see a movie they wouldn't otherwise watch, I guess it'll work. (:

If the JB's want to be taken seriously in this industry, I don't think making a movie about a farting dog is the way to do it. They are musicians, not actors, they proved that in camp rock.
This was a stupid move career wise. Their fan base is made u of mainly teenage girl, and the last thing a 14 year old girl wants to see is a farting dog lmao.
of course many of their fans will still go see it, but honestly.

I'm sorry but honestly, this is rather stupid. I'm one of the biggest Jonas fans ever. As of now i plan on see the movie only to stare at those boys :) thats probaly the main plan. But seriously.. What are kevin and Joe thinking.. "Wow im 19-21 year olds. and I'm in a movie about a stupid farting dog for 2 year olds that has no purpose... "

I love the Jonas Brothers...but a movie about a farting dog? They cannot be serious. Kids in pre-school will find it funny but people in High School will totally think it's rather..childish.
But if it's got JB in it, teenage girls like moi will totally watch it anyway.
