To all her worried fans: Jennifer Hudson was not in Chicago today. According to Associated Press, her representatives would not disclose her whereabouts Friday. Industry insiders said she was supposed to be in Los Angeles to shoot a music video for her new album on Monday.
Then Monday night she was also scheduled to appear at the Hollywood Awards to accept the ensemble cast award for her new film, “The Secret Life of Bees,” also starring Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Sophie Okonedo and Paul Bettany.
At this point, it is doubtful she will make it to either engagement.

Jennifer is more hurt than anyone. Losing her mother and her brother has got to be the worst nightmare on earth. Saying she is not hurt is the wrong choice of words because Im sure she is devastated and in the most mental and possibly physical pain than anyone can feel. My heart and prayers really go out to her and her family. This is really awful.

Lost my mother and brother within seven months of each other. I'm so, so sorry for all of the confusion, pain and anger Jen's experiencing, but I wish her luck and strength and peace throughout all the time she needs to heal from this tragedy. If she can get through this, she will get through anything that gets in her way. And she'll always have two loved ones watching over her.

This news shocked me so terribly. My heart goes out to you, and your loved ones. I cannot even comprehend the unimaginable shock and grief you are facing.
I lost my mother this year unexpectedly and I'm still struggling. It is so painful, but it helps to reach out to others in your time of need, keep your faith and surround yourself with people that love you.

I"M TRULY SORRY THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU JENNIFER HUDSON!!!!!
Such an unfair tradegy to know that two precious lives were taken over a simple piece of matter which is of no more value than the life of a man. We "mankind" otherwise known as "men" cause ourselves to become self destructive over the simple things that should be seen as enjoyable things in life. This object known as a car caused a family feud to erupt into bloodshed, jealousy, envy, and most of all: The need to take a life. Such foolish things that mankind does causes me to wonder what it is that really matters to a man: His life, or the pride of life. IS NOT BLOOD THICKER THAN WATER???? As I stand to ask again. IS NOT BLOOD THICKER THAN WATER????? Should not the pride of life be the joy of having the ones who you love around. That they can become like precious gold in your sight, so that amidst the things which may be materialistic, they could never be able to break the boundary of what it is we "mankind" call "love".
