If Sarah Palin wins, Tina Fey is 'leaving Earth!'
Need a good reason (another one, I mean) not to vote for Sen. John McCain and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin?
How about to save Tina Fey 's life?
"If she wins, I’m done," Fey tells TV Guide. "I can’t do that for four years. And by ‘I’m done,’ I mean I’m leaving Earth."
But that will not keep her from continuing to spoof the former beauty queen right up to election day. And with good reason. The New York Post notes that political impersonations can actually do in a politician.
"Presidential impersonators do influence elections, and in this one, Tina Fey is well on her way to ruining Sarah Palin's political career," said Jerald Podair, a professor of American Studies at Lawrence University.
"Election time is always good for ['SNL'], and this is a bonkers election,” Fey tells TV Guide in the upcoming issue with "30 Rock's" Alec Baldwin on the cover. And that lady is a media star. She is a fascinating person, she’s very likable. She’s fun to play, and the two bits with Amy [Poehler], that was super fun."
So a few more weeks is doable. But having to be Palin for the next four years would be a frightening full-time job.
So if you like Tina Fey, please, please, do her a favor: Do not vote for Sarah Palin.
Frankly, I think there may be quite a few folks who will follow Fey's footsteps if Sarah wins.
How about you?
Anyone else thinking about leaving the country, if not the planet, if the Republicans win?

We all know she doesn't mean it. After all Barbra Streisand says she will leave the country if the Republican wins every presidential election and has yet to leave!

Hey, I`m not going to miss Tina Fey....guess not many will, since we only heard of her since we were introduced to Sarah...

Nope. If she wins is when the good times would begin... why leave?
Posted by: Mauricio | October 13, 2008 at 12:36 PM
Just the opposite. If that empty suit wins I'm outta here! You mock an intellegent likable woman and allow a rope-a-dope to run for president! 57 states! Inflate your tires! I didn't know my pastor was an anti semite racist.. He makes Biden look like Einstein!

I think they need to make out, and film it for the entire world to see

No, I'm staying in the US.
Michael Moore, I notice, still lives in the good ole US of A.
Every other whiner from Hollywood also still lives in the US, taking advantage of our freedoms while threatening to leave if the Republicans win. Every 4 years we have gone through this, and from what I see, no Hollywood actor, or liberal of any other stripe has left the country because of a Republican president. Not one, gasp, has left the comfort of their mega mansions in BH or Malibu, packed up and left for other digs. Imagine that. I suspect not one will either, if McCain wins.
If they are interested, perhaps they should look into a condo, with a nice view of Bagdad or other war torn area.
Sorry for the sarcasm -- but often I think this response from the Hollywood left trivializes the real, actual problems we have in this country, when Hollywood stars shake their fists when they don't get 'their candidate' elected and throw hissies about it -- why don't they roll up their sleeves and actually do something more productive if they are so interested in the state of the country? It just makes them look bad.

A McCain accomplishment; the worst VP pick in history.

By all means, save Tina Fey!

Sarah Palin is an enemy combatant and McCain played right into her and Stoll's scheme to take over our government. Read here: http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2008/10/10/palin_chryson/
Palin is the true terrorist here and we must do everything in our power as a country to stop her since McCain is too senile to know better.
Palin is dangerous to our country. McCain is too gone to know it.
Save the United States from the terrorist Palin.

Yes, actually my husband and I who have a farm here north of LA are considering immigrating to Canada who offers special sponsorship to those who can open a business in Canada. Like most people we just want a candidate who is smarter and more honorable than the one that we have had, and if McCain-Palin win this will usher in another term of corporate tax breaks and middle class alienation. Corporations need to pay their share, and we should not reward bad behavior and failure with a bailout!
