'Desperate Housewives' ' Gale Harold injured in motorcycle crash
Sad news!
Gale Harold, the actor who plays the new boyfriend of "Desperate Housewives" star Teri Hatcher, has been seriously injured in a motorcycle crash.
The Decatur, Ga., native calls Toronto his home. If you haven't watched much "DH" this season, you may be more familiar with him from "Queer as Folk."
According to IMDb.com, two years after that groundbreaking show went off the air, Harold and Randy Harrison's characters Brian and Justin won a poll sponsored by Gay.com for TV's "favorite gay couple." They won in a landslide, with 35% of the online vote.
According to TMZ, the actor, 39, is in intensive care at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.
Our prayers go out to him and his family.

I just received a letter from from George Perkins, producer of DH.
It reads as follows...
Hi,
I’ve spoken with Gale’s publicist this morning and here is her update: she told me that Gale has been moved out of critical care this morning, was coherent last night but has no memory of what happened and was asking why he was in the hospital at all. The doctors continue to observe the swelling of the brain but every hour brings him that much closer to being out of the woods. All positive news. He will remain in the hospital for an undetermined amount of time and the 48 hours of critical observation will be over by tomorrow morning.

I had no idea he was in DW, since I don't watch it, but QAF is one of my favorite shows of all time. I hope he gets well soon, this guy's talent is off the charts.
Plus, I had no idea he lived in my hometown!

Seems people would realize that when you wreck on a motorcycle...you tend to get seriously hurt.>>"Brian" If he was in a car...the stasitical odds are he wouldn't be in the hospital.

This is horrible. Gale Harold is a phenomenal actor and a wonderful person. And at 39 he should not be in critical condition at a hospital. I hope he recovers and will continue on Desperate Housewives.
My prayers go out to you Gale!

Sure, Gale Harold is absolutely delicious! But I respect and admire his acting ability. I have seen very few actors who have me so captivated. You will be on my mind Gale. Get well soon.

I am a big fan of Gale's. I'm totally freaked out by this news. I am praying that Gale pulls through this, and when he does, I'm hoping he will embrace his life even that much more! I was lucky enough to meet Gale about three years ago at the Tribeca Flim Festival in Manhattan. It was clear to me that Gale wasn't thoroughly comfortable when I asked to speak with him, but he and I had a private talk in the theatre for about five minutes. Although he declined when I asked him if I could get a picture taken with him,(I was really upset as I had met many celebrities in my life and had never been turned down for a pic, but I'm sure he had his reasons...) he was kind enough to give me five minutes of his time, and hear what one fan had to say. I told him that I was looking forward to when his career takes off... and I still am! Hurry up and get well Gale...Your fans are counting on you!
