Angelina Jolie breast-feeds on the cover of W?
Sources who've seen the exclusive W magazine photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt -- shot by Brad Pitt -- confirm Angie really is breast-feeding on the November issue cover shot.
"Angelina posed for Brad [Pitt] in one of the photos while breast-feeding," the source reveals to Life & Style. "It's really beautiful and tastefully done."
"The photos are amazing," adds a second source.
Brad shot the photos in mid-August at the family's French home, Château Miraval.
Most of the 21 shots were taken in the garden and include some nearly nude ones as well as ones of her making faces with her kids.
The W mag will hit the newsstands on Oct. 21.
Gosh, we can hardly wait.
I don’t get it. This couple has a team of security to stop intrusive paparazzi from snapping photos of them in the privacy of their home. They even had a recent bloody run-in with a few of these paps.
Then they go and take photos of a very intimate and private moment for a magazine cover?
I’m confused.
You don't think it's the money, do you?
Nah.

By owning the photos, the Jolie-Pitts can earn dollars for their charitable foundation. The got around $15 mil for the first pix of the twins and family. This goes to help children who do not have parents. These two are making some lovely history. They are bringing the brother's keeper example to the children. Jesus would be pleased.

So what! The Grateful Dead Movie released a while ago has a video of a mother breast feeding her child while a public show was being put together by
the roadies. She was being interviewed and later other kids were dancing around having a blast. In cave men times (and even now) some woman do that naturally so men become less infactuated with her breasts as a sexual attraction and more supportive of her breasts
as a form of life and nurishment. Mother Mary breast fed Jesus in public
too. So I say go ahead and feed the children so long as it is done with a level of self respect and not exploiting the child to sell a sexual photo. Why pay for the milk when you own the cow anyway Angel?

It's ok to share your own photos and you're not invading your own privacy taking them. The paparazzi don't let you choose and it's an invasion of privacy.

Does it really matter? How many movies has A.J. been in where she is either topless or totally nude? I've lost count. It's nothing the world hasn't seen already.

Like it or not, there are people who want to see them. this way they control the access - and, really, if Pitt took the pictures, how much was their life intruded on?
Contrast that with being stalked by greedy assholes who endanger them and their family and who would make their lives a living hell. they can't even go outside without being assaulted by jerks with cameras. And you can't see the difference between that and Pitt taking pictures at home and then deciding to show them to whoever wants to see them?
And why do you blast them for taking money for pictures of themselves, but not a single criticism for aggressive and threatening people who assault them for pictures they can sell? Paparazi are parasites.

There is nothing "intimate" and "private" about feeding your child. Besides if breasts can be used on the cover of mags to excite men or sell beer I think it is okay if they are also shown being used for their biological purpose, which is to feed a child.

No one wants to see her boobs - whether or not one or more of her illegitimate children is attached to them.

That's what breasts are for, lest we forget.

It would be wise of any celebrity to flood the market with personal pictures so there is no demand and therefore no paparazzi.

I have nothing but admiration for the Jolie/Pitts. Any objection or questioning of their selling the photos must be coming from the paparazzi. Unlike the paparazzi, they don't line their own pockets with the proceeds. The worldwide philanthropic work of B & A are above reproach. No one would ever say the same about the intent of the paparazzi.

I am sick to death of hearing about Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt. Who cares, people ought ot get a life becaus eit is evident that they do not have one. This woman is trying to be more like Lady Di and that will never happen because she has no class and she is who she is because she has a raunchy that she willingly shared with the press, so that will never happen. I give them credit for the charity work they do, but let's move on, enough already.

The only blood in that encounter was the the blood drawn when the invading paparazzo bit one of the security guards’ fingers. The medical clinic which examined all the participants to the fracas confirmed there were no wounds. Just as a reminder, that paparazzo and his assistant were both fully clad in camouflage, including camouflage for their enormous camera equipment, a camouflage tent, and enough food for a week. The photos showed they were in the vineyard next to the house, and I believe the chateau is in the middle of the property surrounded by about 5 miles of woods. So they didn’t just innocently wander in there. This particular paparazzo has a reputation for pushing things. In fact, he had previously stalked the Jolie Pitts.
How would you like it someone doing an expose on gossip columnists entered your yard and was threatening to enter your home, and you had six young kids under seven years old? If you were in the hospital for any reason, would you like to have invasive zoom lenses - including those from helicopters - zoom into your hospital room? I wouldn't, and I'm not famous. Personally, I think public figures do have rights to privacy. Where’s the contract they signed that said they gave away all their privacy rights once they became famous? People, celebrities included, have the right to privacy in their home (temporary or not) – including privacy from cameras a long distance away. Let’s face it, the paparazzi and tabloids are not champions of free speech. They’re just leeches out for the big bucks – hundreds of thousands of bucks and millions of dollars in sales.

I don’t know, Elizabeth. Do magazines pay for editorial pictorials? I was under the impression that they didn’t, maybe I’m wrong. Do the magazines pay the stars for those celebrity covers, Halle Berry and Jennifer Aniston for example? I always thought magazine covers and articles was a quid pro quo – the magazines got the sales, the stars got the publicity for their latest project. Angelina does have the Changeling coming out, and Brad has the Curious Case of Benjamin Button . This isn’t anything new, all the stars do it. Maybe the studios even plan out and arrange the photoshoots as part of their promotional campaigns.
Maybe it’s Brad and Angelina's way of countering all the vicious rumors of breaking up, post-partum depression, forced therapy, etc. Pictures tell a different story from all the tabs’ headlines and haters’ comments out there. Brad and Angelina haven’t invited us into their homes, as other celebrities have done; they’re not in a reality show. And Brad is taking the photos, not some paparazzi.
I think Brad and Angelina are balancing privacy and the public’s demands. They accept that losing a major portion of their privacy is part of being a major star. The only time I’ve heard them say anything is regarding their kids – that paps use long lens and not traumatize the kids so much.
They make the most money for tabloid magazines and newspapers, traffic for blogs (including this one), ratings for entertainment shows. They’re throwing a bone to the monster with the huge maw to keep it from invading their life completely.

To Ligaya,
Well, celebrities do get paid for magazine spreads when its a tabloid. Look at how much moola some stars, including Angelina and Brad, made from the baby photos from magazines like People, Us Weekly, OK!.
I'm not sure about W's policy. But even if Brad charged a photographers fee, I'm willing to bet that they gave the money away to a children's charity.
You may be right on the money. they probably want to provide the images that they want out, not let a photographer take them..
Besides Brad is an aspiring photog, Didn't Angie give him a camera recently?I think I read that somewhere.
I just worry that salacious images can inspire and energize stalkers and creeps.
High profile celebs really need to be careful about that very real danger.
What is art to some people is porn to other twisted minds.
Anyway, thanks for your comments!

Pictures even when taken by the celebrity themselves, don't resolve to limit the public interest/scrutiny nor the ensuing paparazzi antics. There are many celebritites who live fairly paparazzi free with the exception of the public street shots that they all endure. I do think more personalized pictures continue to invite and incite more interest. As for the money that is made, well, we know legends, Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor, Bono et al. found ways to provide for their foundations and remain and lead relatively obscure family lives. I do think many celebrities certainly like their attention as much as they might say otherwise and don't know what to do without it. This does appear to be promotion for their upcoming movies which have some sense of Oscar/award insinuation. they have been clever in the past and studios do it all the time. This is similar to the first set of photos they did for W back when Mr. & Mrs. Smith came out. Didn't they have a photo spread not long ago for People?

Get a life, puritanical Americans.
Women have been breast-feeding babies for a million years.
There is nothing inappropriate or lewd about breast-feeding.
The only problem resides in your warped little brains.

Stars and celebrities have always had to balance the demand for info about and pictures of them with their privacy. I'm not going to second guess how a family determines the best mix for them. They know best. For those too young to remember, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward as well as Elizabeth Taylor certainly did invite the gossip mags into their homes for picture spreads with their families. Do you really think this is all a new phenonenon? Obviously technology has ratcheted up the genre but this type of journalism has always existed.
Oh, and It's a really beautiful photograph. Simple and natural. I hope it encourages women to persevere in breastfeeding.

Sorry, but I have to laugh at those who are either too young to remember or too old and forgetful. I remember well when Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor were in full view of the media including family members during the peak of their careers. If they had a celebrity news cycle like it is now back then, we would have seen them as much as we now see Brad & Angelina.
I personally think this cover photo is exquisite. Demi Moore broke the ice with her totally nude pregnancy cover on Vanity Fair. This photo of Angelina is tame compared to that photo.
In regards to the paparazzi. I have absolutely no sympathy for them whether they are photographing the Jolie-Pitts, Jen Garner with Violet, Tom & Katie with Suri, Julia Roberts & her family, Reese & her kids, Britney & her sons, etc. The paparazzis are out-of-control. And for you to condone having the paparazzis crawling around the grounds of
a celebrity's home is mind-boggling.

Prrivate photos shown to the public, they can do what they want, who cares? BUT, when you insult the paparazzi, you really are showing what a decadent society we live in. People want the pics, people buy the magazines, so magazines have to give the people what they want, hence the Paparazzi. If we'd stop buying, they'd leave "celebraties" alone.

So what. Most of the world's women breastfeed. Why is ist when a celebrity does it we are supposed to be in awe? And am I the only one who thinks ther is something just not right about this woman? Like she could come unhinged at any second.
