Amy Winehouse's suicide watch: Send in Britney's dad, Jamie Spears!

AmywinehouseAmy Winehouse threatened to kill herself with a knife, after her imprisoned husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, turned down a chance for early parole with restrictions that would have kept him away from her.

And Winehouse is still considered suicidal, and her friends and family are worried and keeping a 24-hour watch over her.

She's reportedly told pals that it's her destiny to die young, like her idol, Sex Pistols star Sid Vicious, who died from a heroin overdose.

Here's a thought:

Maybe Britney Spears' dad, Jamie Spears, should stay with Amy. His presence certainly was a stabilizing impact on his daughter, who is now prepped for a major career comeback.

What do you think? Is there any help for Amy?

Should her family have her forceably institutionalized to dry her out, then get her into therapy and drug rehab?

God luv her...I hope somebody does something soon!

If ever somebody needed Jesus, this kid does. Are they all so interested in fighting over the will that they are willing to stand by and let Amy get this bad? Yes, I know she is Jewish, and how has that helped? Jesus saves.

Texas, do you have any idea of logic and reason? The girl does not need anyone, she needs to take responsibility for herself. Comments such as yours give the impression that all religious people are trying to push their views on others...

Hold on Amy, i know times are hard! But remember your amazing and WE all love YOU.! Somebody please HELP her!!

What a pathetic attention seeker. Why doesn't she put us all out of her misery?

It's too bad-Amy is so talented-but this is what fame does if you allow it. The sad thing is that she seems to be surrounded by enablers-who feed on her fame. I hope she gets her act together.

Amy Winehouse’s current suicide watch reminds me that many people are unfortunately in similar situations. If you know or are related to someone with mental health problems, visit http://KarlaSmithFoundation.org for some helpful strategies on how to cope with the mental illness of a loved one.

She's already under 24 hour watch with all the paparazzi hiding all around her. This gal needs to be left alone...to find Jesus!
