Sarah Palin lands a woman interviewer: Katie Couric
Enough of ABC’s mean old Charlie Gibson, who kept asking Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin about God's plan, meeting foreign leaders and the Bush Doctrine, whatever the heck that is.
Republican VP candidate Palin has picked a potentially friendlier –- and definitely much cuter -- female interviewer for her next TV press sit-down:
CBS news anchor Katie Couric.
Oh, goodie. Maybe they can talk about shopping the resale shops for those spiffy campaign suits, how to get the Palin beehive, what color lipstick looks best on pit bull leaders and what's up with the tanning bed.
According to ET, Couric will reportedly spend two days traveling on the campaign trail with Palin this month.
The first interview segment will air on the "CBS Evening News With Katie Couric" on Sept. 29, followed by additional material on Sept. 30 on "The Early Show" and CBS News, a press release said.
Coverage will include Couric's travels and interview with Palin along with behind-the-scenes access to Palin and John McCain.
So when will Palin face the real feminine fire by going on "The View" and chatting with Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters and Elisabeth Hasselbeck?
Now that's the interview we wanna see.
How about you? Who would you like to see to interview Sarah? Names, we want names...

I would like to see her interviewed by Anderson Cooper. Also, I would like to see her go on the Sunday morning political talk shows like "Meet the Press". Finally, I would like to see her answer regular reporters' questions.

I want to interview her myself. She is certainly intellegent and cute! Let's elect Sarah and McCain!

How about she takes some unscripted questions from the general public. Enough of her handlers keeping her out of reality's way.

Awesome! Actually, Katie Kouric is the person I want to see interview Gov Palin. She's knows about political issues more then the women on the View... who only knows how the "feel" about a certain situation... no thoughts behind it. And how is Katie nice? I think she's more non-biased then the other women.

This should be good, I remember Katie interviewing my former company Bayer about the cost of Anthrax remedy drugs. She was brutally frank and cut our CEO to pieces.
As along as she is not pro-Palin she might be very damaging to the McCain campaign.
This is one decision they might live to regret.

How about an interview of Palin by Stepen Sackur of the BBC's 'Hardtalk'?

She comes across as tough, but fair as an interviewer and commentator....yes it will be interesting to see.
Maybe by then most of the Sarah bashing will be done and over with and the public can see the politician (and she is a politician...make no mistake about it) as she is and what she might be like in Washington..

Janeane Garofalo. Sarah would end up crying. And that's not me being sexist, either -- Hell, Obama and McCain would end up crying.

Dear Mainstream Media & Governor Palin,
Charles Gibson's questions were softballs compared with those he asked in the primary debates. In fact, the Bush doctrine question was asked of all the democratic candidates. Maybe if you had your eye on the ball, you could have learned from the responses he received. Good luck.

The View?
Give me a break. Please.
That show has no class. ALL the ladies could use some lessons in both class and political insight. It's an ENTERTAINMENT SHOW. Geez.

What does Whoopi, Barbara and Elisabeth know about the economy? I'm not sure they could even locate D.C. on a map, let alone discuss civil and unbiased matters with the republican GOP ticket. Sarah Palin has backbone, but the only bones those three woman have belong to the dogs.

Wow what a sexist article. You undermine both Couric and Palin. Sarah Palin has more experience than Obama, running a municipality and a state i.e. real executive experience, as well as a family business.
Maybe you and the media in general should do a better job of vetting Obama and write about that fact if this Harvard elitist's redistribution of wealth project actually makes it to Washington , he will dramatically increase taxes on anyone making above $200,000. Which means that I can’t invest in my new business ventures and won’t be hiring any additional employees. Way to stimulate the economy, Mr Politician with no experience, by increasing taxes and penalizing small business owners who take risks and employ people with real jobs. .
But yeah, according to you, it’s Sarah who we should be vetting??

What's the point? Palin has no off-the-cuff skills, as witnessed by her chum "Charlie." She can't answer a single unscripted question. Couric, the one who edited an interview with McCain because he gave a dumb answer, will do the same for Palin. She's no journalist. For someone so early primetime in her career, she was awfully dumb to edit that McCain interview. I lost all respect for her after that.

Seems like the only one on planet Earth who knows about the Bush Doctrine is Charlie Gibson. I wonder if Bush knows about it.

I believe the best interview for Sarah Palin right now, for the best interest of the true American People would be with Mike Bickle from IHOP-KC.. IHOP(International House Of Prayer) in Kansas City.

CNN's Campbell Brown please! I want to see Brown ask Palin those questions that Tucker Bounds couldn't answer.
Posted by: John | September 17, 2008 at 04:21 PM
I'd like to see her be interviewed by Sean Hannity. I feel his unbiased, difficult questions would give Americans the confirmation of the massive experience and qualifications as well as clear-headedness Ms. Palin has. Perhaps she can then explain with Mr. Hannity what economics and the "invisible hand" is...
Here's a hint SARAH: IT'S NOT GOD!
But hey, let's give proper credit where it's due. Without McCain/Plain (no type there), we wouldn't have the BlackBerry.
