Oprah Winfrey stops in at Emmy swag suite? Is the economy that bad?
The Dish Rag found out that Oprah Winfrey hit an Emmy swag suite this weekend and actually took home a purple-gray LeSportsac limited edition bowling style bag designed by Stella McCartney.
With all the free booty she could pull in from vendors dying to be one of her “favorite things,” why would kazillionaire Oprah (and her gal pal Gayle King) need to take freebies at the AEG Ehrlich Presenters Lounge, produced by On3 Productions.
Is the economy worse off than we thought?
Her presence could be because the Bertolli Oven Bake Meals were auctioning off celebrities “signed red dishes” to raise money for good causes such as the Dream Street Foundation, which funds camps for terminally and chronically ill kids. She signed a dish for the good cause.
According to Eonline, "Life on the D-List" star Kathy Griffin also signed a special dish after Oprah did and groused, “Mine will go for $3 and Oprah's will get $14 million.”
She could be right.
Oprah Winfrey also hit the suite's TrueJeans.com booth to see how to find the perfect jean by entering her measurements, body type, and style preferences. Then TrueJeans will quickly sift through its online database of designer jeans and bingo, your perfect jean is located.
She and King were reportedly amazed, say the suite's organizers. “I love this! What a great idea," Oprah said. "This would make a great show idea!”
Here's betting the TrueJeans fit finder will be on an upcoming episode of her talk show.

Oprah-for goodness sake-do you really need the free stuff? i guess in some ways it goes to charity-but in the end you're still one of those freebie loving celebs?
You lowered on this one girlfriend-if you're supposed to be "Every Woman" stay away from the freebies!
