David Duchovny's wife, Tea Leoni, bails on Toronto film fest

Understandably, actress Tea Leoni has bailed on doing press for her new film, "Ghost Town," at the Toronto International Film Festival, which starts this week. No reason was given officially, but ....

Who can blame her for not wanting to face the inevitable awkward questions about her husband David Duchovny's recent revelation that he's checked into rehab for sex addiction, which probably means not just being addicted to sex with Tea, his wife of 11 years and mother of his two children.

"I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family," Duchovny said in a statement last Thursday. Yeah, like that would have stopped reporters from asking Tea about David's rehab and the state of their marriage.

They also might have asked if it was true that the couple's Malibu home is up for sale.

Frankly, after seeing the rather abysmal "Ghost Town" trailer, I'm pretty sure that Leoni is secretly relieved at not having to put on a brave face for the film, which also stars Ricky Gervais.

"Town" opens Sept. 19, so you can judge for yourself.

Different strokes for different folks. But if I was married to Tea Leoni I certainly wouldn't be wasting my time looking at a small computer screen..

What an obnoxious post. Way to pile on somebody who's having a problem by throwing in a pot shot on her film. You must be proud. You're soooo clever.
