Jennifer 'Don't Call Me Fat' Love Hewitt's miracle weight loss?
When photos of Jennifer Love Hewitt in a bikini on a Hawaiian beach hit the Web last fall, the headlines weren't very ... polite.
TMZ.com, for example, said, "We know what you ate this summer, Love -- everything!"
To her credit, Hewitt fought back on her Website with some noble feminist sizist sentiments: "I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized.
"To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.
"A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful. To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist," she wrote, "put on a bikini -- put it on and stay strong."
Maybe she should have said, get off the couch, close the fridge, lose 18 pounds in 10 weeks and get on the cover of Us Weekly, looking smoking hot.
"I am in a pretty good workout regimen that I like, so it inspired me to keep it up," Hewitt told Us.
"With her, it's not 'I want to look good in that dress,' " her trainer Stevie Sant'Angelo told Us. "She wanted to start moving around because she thought it would make her feel better."
Oh, right, she wanted to "feel better."
Do you buy that? And do you think she looks better?

I don't understand the message JLH is trying to send...If she was so proud of her curvy body when those bikini pics came out (and she didn't consider herself fat), why did she go and lose a bunch of weight? Sounds a bit hypocritical to me. I liked her better when she was chunky...I'm sorry I mean "a size 2"!

She looks better, but she didn't look bad before, people were just really harsh for no reason. As for the weight loss, I (and I'm sure others) called it. When someone famous gets that much heat for their weight it usually goes one of two ways. They go on a diet and drop the lbs or they fall totally off the rails and gain a whole bunch more weight.

Heavy is a state of mind...those who want it off can get it off...However, those that comment on it are those who are self-conscious of themselves and want to find fault with someone else other than themselves.
They think that they look better if they are "hanging" with someone thinner and don't have to be ashamed...

I think she looks freakish, and skinny =/= healthy. Although if she really does feel better, then good for her.

I think we have to stop scrutinizing every single move made by celebrities. It's like they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. I think taking up a healthier lifestyle should never be looked at in a negative light.

What a shame. Why is it that the hottest celebs are on a constant weight loss campaign? I will miss the woman who had that extra 10 to 15 pounds, not the thinner version. She looks sickly being that thin.

She is a hypocrite. Plain and simple. She was quick to condemn those who thought her body was "bad", but she is quick to seek the praises now that her body is "good".

I just blogged about this myself. My initial reaction was that she was a sell out, but then I thought about it and maybe I felt that way because I'm less than perfect...anyway, check out my post:

Elizabeth I think you are right on the money, a lot of people loved the fact that she told that papz to F-off but I guess she is not thinking about the young girls that have weight issues. I never liked her thought she was phony I guess I was right.

I am very disappointed to hear that JLH would buy in to the Hollywood idea of beauty. She is a beautiful girl that actually showed that women with curves are stunning. It's healthy to have curves! I really respected her that she cared about a healthy image of a woman's body and I am disappointed to see she is now being sucked into Hollywood unhealty image of woman. I guess it's hard to keep a Hollywood icon to be proud of in regard to true women's beauty..

what on earth happened to her bodacious tatas?
as a female i thought it was great that she was larger than "hollywood standards." maybe it's because i'm larger than the standards too, so anyway. she looks fine, and makes me wonder what 18 lbs lost would do for me. she had envious tatas and has lost them. or did us weekly use the airbrush to the extreme?
