Report: Morgan Freeman and wife Myrna Colley-Lee divorcing after 24 years
The "Dark Knight" curse continues.
First, he was in a car crash, breaking his arm and elbow, with a female friend of the family in the car with him.
Now Morgan Freeman, 71, is divorcing his wife of 24 years.
According to the New York Daily News, Morgan's business partner told "Access Hollywood" that Morgan and his wife, Myrna Colley-Lee, are "involved in a divorce action."
This news is strangely timed, broken just days after Freeman had a car accident, and the passenger in the late-night crash in Mississippi was Demaris Meyer, 48, a longtime friend of Morgan's wife.
Freeman is due to be released from a Memphis, Tenn., hospital in a few days and has had surgeries to repair his arm and elbow.
Well, sometimes it takes a brush with mortality to make a person take action and make a change in their life. But it sounds as if this might have been in the works before the accident.
Or maybe it was just the last straw.
According to a close friend of the actor, "Morgan has always liked the ladies."
What do you think?
Good luck to Morgan and Myrna. Hope you guys get can through this with dignity, respect and love.

I think Morgan was a little preoccupied while driving. And I don't mean he was on his cell phone. =)

What?!? Morgan Freeman missed being single after 24 years with the same woman?!?
UNHEARD OF. What a bastard.
Get a life. It happens all day every day in both directions.
Even if it's Morgan Freeman, this isn't news.

I also love Morgan Freeman and agree that sometimes relationships end. He's a wonderful actor and nothing can change that.

Morgan Freeman and His Wife are adults, they are quite rational, if they decide they don't want to be married that is perfectly acceptable.
They spent 24 years together and I'm quite sure they had a multitude of good times.
Let them remember the good times, get over the bad and get on to a mutually healthy tomorrow of new experiences and rediscover the joy of living.
Morgan, thank you for your part in so many great movies that were made so much better by you being in them.
Myrna, thank you for being Morgans partner and what you added to his life.
All the best for the future, may you have many, many more years to find even more happiness.

It is always amazing to me how complete strangers, the people who know the stars only through their works, can be so personal in their comments and opinions on their personal life.
What possible worth is your opinion to Morgan Freeman and his wife?

Marriage is unnatural. People want to be with and make love to DIFFERENT PEOPLE. It is natures way. Marriage is an idea dreamed up long ago by the only folks that profit from it, Priests and Old maids. If people were meant to be with one person only, more then half marriages wouldnt end up in divorce. How stupid, vow to be together till death, but divorce anytime you want to. Outlaw divorce, see how many folks would get married then

The red head in black with her hand on his arm in this picture looks like the photos of Demaris Meyer.

>>Now Morgan Freeman, 71, is divorcing his wife of 24 years.
The story tells it differently. When a married man is caught with another woman, shouldn't it be the wife is divorcing the husband?
Anyway, life expectancy for man is 72. Who wants to be a Free Man with 1 more year to the Morgue?

I have always liked Morgan Freeman as an actor, and as a person. I think I can read a person very very well. However, this woman that he was in the car with who was suppposedly a close friend of his wife was definitely his girlfriend okay. I think it was in very very poor taste that he got with this particular woman. With all the other women he could have gotten together with why a friend of his wife. That I am sure was very very hurtful to his wife...and this woman was never a true friend in the first place. Because a friend, a true friend would never do that. I wish everyone well because life is too short....
