Lindsay Lohan update: Still getting paid to act?

In a new interview with Papa Lohan, Michael lashes out at daughter Lindsay's latest love Samantha Ronson, who he says is only interested in making money off of Lindsay.

*Yawn* We already knew he wasn't a fan.

Here's the real newsflash: "She's gone from making $7 million to less than a million a movie," he mentions.

Wait, she still gets paid?

To act?

In film?

Someone's paying her to star in "Labor Pains"? I thought it was the other way around. A sort of penance for her former party ways. (I mean, her co-star is "American Idol" alum Kevin Covais, he of Chicken Little look-a-like fame.)

If you're not surprised by this new intel, you should be.

Refer to this handy chart of her box office performance over the years. Notice the six movies she made after Disney's 2005 family film "Herbie: Fully Loaded" did not make more than $20 million. (OK, "A Prairie Home Companion" did. Barely.)

In her pre-partying days, "Freaky Friday" made over $110 million. "Mean Girls" did $86 million.

Theres not one problem with any of Lindsays films that I have seen and her songs are good as well.

I guess you guys dont see a correlation between her partying and her work. maybe we should leave her alone, it just irritates me to see a talent like her not pushing herself to greater and bigger things when all she needs to do is focus, which she obviously is not doing. you dont go from starring in a movie thats made 100 million dollars to less then twenty million for nothing. she lacks focus which is probably what her dad and this article is implying. and one more thing a gorgeous talent she is not.

Stop hating on LL it is so predictable and boring by now, Gossip sites are like schoolyard bullies always picking on the one's who are weak and vunerable, Why don't you be a bit more original and give her credit now that she is trying to turn her life around. ? A lot of people have love for LL, she is talented, different from the rest of the manifactured starlets and you have to respect anyone who survives such an insane family. Everyone has a past, let her live her life and get back to doing good work without being constantly ridiculed!

Lindsay is objectively talented. I couldn't agree with the other posts more. These kinds of articles are unnecessarily negative and mean-spirited. The author should be ashamed. Ms. Martin is in a position to write something meaningful; she should work a little harder and write something insightful and interesting rather than picking this low-hanging, spoiled fruit.

Why is the tone of this article so hateful? Why did the "writer" use the word "yawn." Lindsay is a young woman who has grown up in the limelight. So, what, she's going through growing pains. She's a beautiful, talented woman trying to find her way. Yes, mistakenly, she is sharing her personal demons via her blog--this is foolish. But, are we supposed to believe that because some of her movies tanked it's all her fault? Yes, she's going to get paid to act, because she can. I'd like to see the "writer" of this post get in front of a camera and pull off a movie. Every actor gets saddled with a dud or two in his/her career. Get off her back and let her live and grow up in peace.

Linsay's career is about over, sorry to spoil everyone elses comments about her being a normal person but articles like this are what she needs.
