PETA offers to scan Sharon Stone's brain to find her heart!

Sharon Stone's remarks about how bad karma caused the deaths of millions of innocent Chinese men, women and children during the recent earthquakes shocked the Chinese government, which promptly banned her and her films from the country.

Her callous statements also horrifed Dior, which dumped her from its ad campaigns. Even the Dalai Lama has taken her off his speed dial.

But PETA says it's not surprised. Not one bit. In fact, the organization has sent the actress a letter offering to pay for a scan of the frontal region of her brain to see if her empathy deprivation is the result of a physical defect.

In other words, PETA wants to search her brain to see if she has a heart. Wonder if they can scan for a soul while they're in there?

The letter from Ingrid E. Newkirk, president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, reminds Stone that: "Mink, foxes, rabbits, and other fur-bearing animals are tortured and killed so that people like you can steal and wear these animals' fur. We have sent you videotapes showing that animals on fur farms send their lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages with little to no shelter from the scording sun and freezing rain. Animals are killed by the cheapest and crudest methods, including poisoning, neck-breaking, gassing and genital eletrocution. ... Sometimes animals are still conscious when they are skinned."

"The type of thinking that would allow a perhaps otherwise intelligent woman to deny the cruel consequences of her actions can be established through a brain scan. We urge you to undergo this test and curb your urge to scoff at various forms of misery and violence."

What an incredibly callous and vile thing for PETA to say, considering Stone suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2001 and fought her way back from that. These people are just unbelievable the way they treat their fellow man! The only reason they do this type of stuff is to grab headlines. Who in *God's name* is supporting these KOOKS?!?! Any decent society would have burned these freaks at the stake years ago!

Sharon Stone is right about the karma. And, kudos to her for having the nerve to say it. But, the animal fur....I have to agree. I remember an incident where someone from P.E.T.A. threw black ink on a white sable coat worn by Joan Rivers. That was a bite. There is a guy from here who did time for releasing minks from cages in Canada some time ago. It's not against the law to own a fur coat. I wouldn't own one. But, it is against the law to destroy someone else's property. The minks all died from exposure after they were released. Nice thought, anyway. I have a Chinese restaurant on tape boiling a live cat in oil. It was a special on A&E showing how we mistreat our animals. The Chinese in China eat cat. The cat was still alive after the cook took it out of the oil and skinned it. Nice. Leave Sharon Stone alone. Not one of us is perfect.

If the above story is true, I must say PETA does not have a brain.

The so-called Sharon Stone’s remarks re ‘earthquake is interesting’ and ‘it is a karma’ are made-up by the Chinese Communist media. They put their own words into Stone’s mouth and cook-up an anti-West movement.

PETA behaves just like a Chinese Communist mouthpiece, doesn’t it?

If PETA needs money from fund-raising by Sharon Stone, please say so, it is not necessary for PETA to behave like a Chinese Communist. Or, probably the American people can help to give PETA a basic brain.

I'm sure PETA didn't mean it literally, more as a way to draw out attention to the unnecessary support of cruelty Sharon Stone has exhibited with her fashion choices. We can't treat our fellow man with kindness if we let ourselves be cruel to the other creatures we live with- violence and acceptance of it make us desentisized to more violence. The same argument could be used to say "prevent cruelty to our race first". I have a hard time understanding why, instead of saying "Lets worry about people for a change, like in Iraq or Africa", we can't choose to help people, animals, and the environment at the same time. We have the resources and the research if we only stop bickering about "these republicans are idiots" or "those PETA kooks". If you really care about people, do something about it! Just like PETA is doing something about animals rights.

I don't like PETA, I think they treat people like crap.
However, as someone who works with animals on a daily basis I can see that they can suffer. How anybody can support an industry that tortures them is beyond me. I think it's cruel to wear fur because you are ultimately supporting a business that profits off of torturing and killing animals. I find that sickening.

That karma comment from Sharon was very hostile. Her karma isn't much better, after all most of the fur farms are in China.

Sharon Stone isnt a favorite of mine, but she is entitled to her opinions. I just today wrote Peta, petakillsanimals.org is a website I sent them and of course they spun the whole thing around. I am a animal lover, but there is a difference between terrorists, damage to peoples property which is a terorist activity. Dont think Ingrid does this for free....she doesnt....they gave me some lame excuses...where are they protesting when great racehorses like Ferinand and Exceller were slaughered in Japan???? Why isnt Pamela Anderson getting her hands dirty instead of using her money to help profit this organization? Pamela isnt a true Peta supporter until she uses herself (and I dont mean stand in traffic naked to protest fur) in a real save the animals story like Haden P. from Heros did...then she can say she supports animals.. Sorry but Sharon calls it as she sees it, I can respect that!
