Eyewitness at crash scene: Shia stayed when advised to split!
New intel on Shia LaBeouf's Sunday a.m. car crash!
According to Access Hollywood's interview with an eyewitness, a man in other car advised Shia to leave the scene of the accident, saying, "I never saw you."
Brian Perrulli was driving home from when he saw the accident. Pulling over to help, he overheard a man who had been in the other car, telling the actor to flee the scene.
"Shia was tending to the other people in the car, signing over information, like insurance and stuff and basically, I overheard the guy tell him, "You should just get out of here and go," and Shia said, "Nah man. I gotta deal with this. My license plate, it's my car. I don't wanna go, I gotta deal with this."
Perrulli heard the man from the other vehicle say he would cover for the star.
The guy Shia hit told him, "You should get outta here, and I never saw you. He said, I never saw you," and Shia said, "No, man, I gotta stay here and deal with this. It's my problem," Perrulli said.
LaBeouf is due to head to court to face drunk driving charges. But Perrulli said the actor didn't seem intoxicated.
"He looked more disoriented and shocked more than drunk. I wouldn't have thought he was drunk," he told Access Hollywood.
Doesn't sound drunk to me either. Sounds like a very sober and very smart young man.
Good for Shia for doing the right thing. Some might not have.

Sounds pretty sober to me too.
Since the cops didn't do a breath analyzer at the scene I guess it all comes down to his toxicology screening from the hospital.
If he was over the limit then he needs to step up and get straight.
If he wasn't over the limit.. the media owes this young man an apology it seems. He has been bashed on just about every entertainment show and blog.

If the media etc didn't hype the story--no papers would sold, TMZ would be out of business. It's what they do. It sounds like an accident but the damage has been done to the kid.

The friends who told Shia, "We'll take the fall, you get out of here," are the very same friends now reporting how noble their Shia pet was, how he owned up to his responsibility. Anybody else think this is a little fishy?
