Michelle Williams is dating Spike Jones? Makes strange sense

Six months after the death of Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams may have found happiness again.
And it's with another creative young talent in the film industry who is also notoriously press-shy and soft-spoken: "Being John Malkovich" director Spike Jonze.
Jonze is divorced (2003) from Sofia Coppola and was also recently romantically linked with Drew Barrymore.
The Star reports that Williams and Jonze, 38, have been spotted together several times near the film-maker's apartment in Lower East Side Manhattan (even kissing) in the past few weeks.
Williams first met Jonze in 2006 when she auditioned for his film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak children's book "Where The Wild Things Are." She was offered a part but later withdrew from the film.
But last summer, the pair finally worked together on Sony Classics' "Synecdoche, New York." Just a few months later in September, Williams and Ledger ended their three-year relationship. They were also together in Cannes for the world premiere of "Synecdoche," although they didn't appear in public together except to promote the film.

Correction: The father of Sophia Coppola's daughter is not Spike Jonze. It's Thomas Mars, a singer for the French band Phoenix. The two met when he recorded a song with the band Air for her 1999 movie "The Virgin Suicides."

Maybe Michelle was having an affair with Spike before Heath and her split because unofficially the couple had split in early 2007. She surely looked miserable back then and he looked really happy, plus they never spent time together and had their nanny ferrying their daughter back and forth to them.

Actually Jenny, according to Michelle's Elle interview, she and Heath split in late July/early August, b/c she said it had been about 6 months. She gave the interview rjust a couple weeks before he died. He was filming TDK for the better part of last year, so there aren't going to be a lot of pics of them druing that time.

“Williams first met Jonze in 2006 when she auditioned for his film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak children's book Where The Wild Things Are. She was offered a part but later withdrew from the film.” --- INTERESTING (?)
