Oh Manolo! What's going on with Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker?
According to various reports, including this week's Star magazine, always a reliable (satire alert) source, Matthew Broderick 's been getting himself a little extra "Sex in the City."
Just not with his wife of 11 years, Sarah Jessica Parker.
The Star reports Broderick was sneaking around with a young redhead earlier this year. While SJP was busy being Carrie.
Ouch.
After reportedly meeting in a bar, Matthew began texting the 25-year-old youth counselor, the woman's pal told The Star. They began seeing each other and things got passionate quickly when they met at the Manhattan townhouse of a showbiz friend.
OK, passionate? With Matthew Broderick?
Sources say the woman felt conflicted with her relationship with Matthew, whom she nicknamed "Matty Cakes."
While Sarah Jessica Parker was busy filming "Sex and the City: The Movie" — multiple eyewitnesses say they saw Matthew make many late-night visits to the other woman's apartment building.
The couple has been married 11 years and have a son, 5. According to the Daily Mail, Broderick's publicist Simon Halls had "no comment."

ugh he is sooooo homely, and she deserves a Mr. Big type no a Mr. Homely type, I hope she gets her freak on, and that their kids are ok

Well I thought that film was shot in New York, so it seems unlikely SJP was "away for four months" in Los Angeles like the article says. But it definitely could happen, Matty Cakes has slimmed down quite a bit over the past year and he still has those "bedroom eyes."

What about the Breck Girl? Oh that's right, the LATimes censures commenting on Dem politicians when they get caught with their pants down, especially when it's a hypocrite like Edwards......

Do you people believe everything you read. And please, SJP is one of the biggest hoaxes of beauty ever played in the history of Hollywood. Matthew is adorable. She looks like a witch. Ugh.

So, the L.A. Times will report on this story, with their only source being Star. Yet you aren't allowed to talk about the John Edwards story, because the source comes from The Enquirer?
Hypocrisy, anyone?

You can write about this but not Edwards?
Posted by: WWB | July 25, 2008 at 12:34 PM
The LA Times covers this drivel and not a local story involving a national political figure? No wonder you're going out of business. Are you in bed with Edwards and not Matthew Broderick? What lousy taste. Get someone in charge who knows the blogosphere.

Seems strange--Rumors are OK about some public figures, but not if they involve prominent Democrats?
Hey LAT, your bias is showing...

I hope if it is true she dumps him! He is so unattractive and is lucky to have such a lovely lady.

Hasn't Miss Parker done everything WOMANLY possible to keep her man?
* Perfume
* Sexy, expensive, and sometimes cheap clothing
* Hair color
If you can't keep a nebbish like Mr Broderick at home, well then, Ladies, what can you do?
Let me share with you my secrets of seduction and keeping a man interested. NO man can resist:
* Outrageously meaningful ("f--- me") boots
* Strategically placed tattoo
* Jauntily cocked cigar
Bon chance!

I feel sorry for SJP. I have been married for 27 yrs. & most people always have doubts, but to read it in a mag. must be devastating for her. I'm sure she always wanted to believe he was faithful. I wish her all the best & for the sake of their son, I hope they can work it out.

well anything is possible i am kissing, having sex with all my characters, its my fault. i am not around and i am always busy. but one thing i am not is alone. i have someone who can take his place in a heartbeat. so i am not mad he is getting his own freak on. he is human and i blame myself not him. i have cheated on him myself. since it considered he cant get mad at me.

I think that everyone who is saying she deserves better is ridicules you hope she finds a mr big type she is or at least was happy how could you wish that on someone just because you think her husband isn't cute enough for her... what kind of people are you? I hope that it didn't happen and if it did I hope they can find a way to get passed it or let go with little anger. I hope the best for her. Whatever she decides it is not for us to judge we are not in her family..

I've always adored Matthew, I really hope this isn't true. If it is, all the best to Sarah Jessica.

I hope it's true personally. Matthew is so sexy and can do way better than that little rat terrier of a wife that he has. Everybody knows that red heads have better sex anyway. Personally I think that a man is entitled to have mistresses, and I would be proud to have a man who could handle more than one woman at a time. And if it is true, and he's looking for anybody else, I'd lay down for him in a heartbeat.

Sarah deserves better than a girly guy... She'll be fine, maybe better off if it's true.

Everyone knows he is gayer than Christmas and the Easter bunny combined, this is just a publicity stunt to make sure they keep the pretence up! she is tottally his beard, he is probably dating Tom Cruise!

She is heinous. I would sleep around on her too.

OK this is all crap. why oh why is everone on SJP's side? She's uglier than a rat. I've always adored Matt and i seriously hope this is not true. if it is i don't blame him.

We all know she is not all glam off the camera, quite the opposite actually. She hit the anorexic wagon along with everyone else and that is why Maxim voted her the least sexiest woman. She was hot back in Honeymoon in Vegas when she actually had a body.
As for Matt, I can't figure how anyone can say she's too good for him, I mean he's Ferris Bueler! Not that it makes it right for him to cheat, but if I was a married too someone who closely resembled the same sex as me I may be tempted to stray.

Sarah Jessica Parker is the ugliest thing ever hit the screen, big or small. She´s ugly from head to toes, unbelievable how she could be even remotely linked to ANYTHING sexy. Talent apart, she does need all the paraphernalia of Manolos & Diors to distract from her scarecrow-like appearance. The figurine of the series makes her look like a cheap hooker or a runaway from a freak show. Matthew deserves a medal for sleeping with Miss Coyote Ugly .

.....and Ferris Bueller was right to take one night off!

Wow! How wonderfully refreshing to see how shallow and stupid people are so ever-willing to reveal they are!! Could all of you ugly, shallow, jealous souls let me know if that thing about "Karma" carries any weight...And maybe you could just see how well life is when you lose the need to trash another for the mere entertainment of it!
I wish Matthew and SJP all the best and hope that they are afforded the respect and privacy needed to deal with a purely personal issue.
Get a real life folks! Then, hopefully myself and others will be reaffirmed about the goodness of mankind next time we read a blog in the middle of the night.
Sweet Dreams....
