Is Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurkova fat? You decide!

Fashion critics have blasted model Karolina Kurkova for looking too fat in a bikini.

Seriously.

The Czech model wore a bikini in a recent Cia Maritima runway show and revealed what the horrified style snobs  called  "back fat, love handles and cellulite."

Karolina Kurkova, 24, is one of the highest-earning models in the world, according to Forbes, and is best known for being a Victoria's Secret Angel and whose super-fit physique has graced the pages of international fashion mags.

But after the show during Sao Paulo's Fashion Week, a Brazilian paper noted that the leggy 5-foot-11 Kurkova  "shocked" the audience when she appeared looking uncharacteristically chubby with "cellulite on her butt."

Boy, these fashion critics are harsh!

That said, let's compare how Karolina looked in this year's show (click HERE) to how she looked modeling a bikini in the 2006 Cia Maritima show. Read on to see the old photos.

Then you decide if the critics are crazy. Or just reallyreallyreally picky.

To our eyes, it does appear that Karolina is a bit more toned and trim in these runway shots taken in 2006. But is she fat now? Not a chance. Curvy? Absolutely!

Still, don't feel too sorry for the poor maligned beauty. According to Forbes, the supermodel earns $5 million a year with this bod.

Call me crazy, but if your figure's earning those kind of figures, how hard is it to stay fighting fit? Isn't that your job?

In the last event in Sao Paulo the Victoria's secret angel really showed cellulite in abundance for someone that really lives on the body. Yet, she wasn't so harshly critized as it's been said.

She's not fat , yet she should be more carefull about the texture of her body. Skinny people also suffer from that, yet if someone makes a living out of it, must be aware of critics if something is not up to some standards.

Bikini and Victoria's Secret models are not paid to look like 'real' women. They're paid to be the fantasy, for men and women, Whether people like it or not, a 'perfect' body is always going to be more appealing and effective commercially than an 'imperfect' body.

Frankly, she is too heavy and untoned at the moment which, at 24, can really only be blamed on a lax exercise regimen.

I felt a bit sorry for J. Love Hewitt with that whole 'monstrous ass' crucifixion, as she was just a person on vacation, albeit a well-known one. I have very little sympathy for Kurkova because, as this columnist stated, it's her job to stay enviably fit.

Hi. I'm from Brazil. People here say my face look like hers. I'm her fan. I love Victoria Secret staff and products, and Gisele Bundchen, a Brazilian icon, an ubber model, is from here.
In my opinion, I got a bit disappointed with her appearance here, at Sao Paulo Fashion Week. She lives to take care of her body, she's not a "normal" person. So she SHOULD be thinner and get some exercise and body treatments.
But I think that after all this, she will, and soon.

she's not fat or even out of shape - she's healthy. One doesn't need washboard abs to wear a bikini - have any of you critics been to a beach lately? Seriously, why has being human become such a crime lately??!?

I'm 5'6 and weight 115, I wear a size 3, and I have NO DESIRE TO BE A ZERO! I live in Los Angeles where most are a size 0. You must be happy with who you are, otherwise you will spend a lifetime in misery... and it will eventually lead to heart failure or suicide. Who gives a fuck what others think of you, tell em where to shove it. As long as you are healthy and happy thats all that matters. There is a fine line between too thin and too heavy, both are bad for your health, so try to find a balance.

When we say who is to blame... It's not just the Fashion Industry, but it's the whole Entertainment as a whole. It's also parents responsibility to make sure they educate there children of this from a young age.

People are dying to be thin, and another model just committed suicide by jumping from her balcony in NY. I make you a bet it's from the pressure of the industry!!

OF COURSE NOT!!! if she werent getting paid to strut around in skimpy lingerie, hen she wouldnt even need toning. shes curvy and if that bathing suit was actually HER size, then it would look fantastic on her. as long as she will be modeling she may want to make touch up workouts a habit, but she's in no way shape or form fat. shes beautiful. ill bet whoever called her fat probably has more cellulite on one thigh than she does in her whole body. nobody deserves to be put down! especially not for something this stupid!!!
