Sherry Lansing and Jeffrey Katzenberg go rah-rah over Barack Obama

Barack Obama is really getting the royal treatment in Hollywood.

Two of Hollywood's most powerful political players and hotshot producers, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Sherry Lansing, stumped for the  Democratic presidential presumptive Barack Obama at last night's Women in Film Awards.

"Obama is the greatest," Jeffrey told the Dish Rag on the red carpet. "Nothing this great has happened to us in a long time. The only thing we have to worry about is what we'll have to wear to the inauguration."

Excuse me? Did he just say 'what to wear?"

Sherry Lansing, who has been a member of WIF for 27 years,  said: "I'm as much inspired today by Barack Obama as I am by the strides women have made in this industry. He's got charisma, passion and has the ability to get the country back on the right track."

Join the club, guys. Scarlett Johansson is already hip to Barack's charms (and his e-mails).

And Jennifer Lopez sported a black dress and sunglasses when she recently slipped into Obama's Senate office in Washington, D.C., for a meeting reportedly about health care.

Hon. Senator McCain and Obama, besides each having many attributes and characteristics. The critical differences between the two of these presidential presumptive nominees are as under:

1. Presidential "Temperament and Composer".
2. Little Washington "insider Versus outsider" experience.
3. "Vision and mission" for our nation future rather than past.
4. American policies, " first U.S.A Centric" than any other country [ ies ] centric.

In my professional opinion Senator Obama leads in all above qualities.

As a critically thinking American voter, I care less about whether the nominee I vote for is a 'nice guy'. In fact I want a leader who still has some passion flowing through his veins. The DC 'outsider' persona of Obama is a myth, he is just as bought and sold as the rest of them. Do some reading about his ties with CONVICTED corruptors in the Chicago political machine. What vision does Obama have for America? Change? Change is not only vague but it's also not always good. Change CAN be for the worse, and that's what Obama will bring. The fact is that Obama continues to speak only in vague generalizations, continues to press for further socialization of America, and has on more than one occasion bluntly stated that he will pursue courses I find detrimental to our relationships with hostile nations. McCain is the furthest thing from an ideal candidate, that said, in my mind he still trumps Obama on almost every single important issue we face as a nation.

As a person who until very recently worked for the federal beaurocracy, I can tell you that more government control of ANYTHING is a bad thing. There is no bigger system meant to eliminate human decision making through institutionalized common sense. Perhaps you have heard of or met members of the crack TSA, ATF, IRS and FEMA and their wonderful contributions to American quality of life? Are these the same people you want in charge of you and your families' medical well being?

Like any position where you wish to hire someone, you ask for a resume'. Why? You want to know if your job applicant has the credentials to fulfill the requirements. The best indicator of what someone will do for you is what they have done in the past.

ECONOMY:
McCain: Leads the charge against pork-barrel spending and limiting the size of gov't.
Obama: spend, spend, spend YOUR money and give, give, give to those who didn't earn it. Oh, and he wants to increase your taxes as well. The AVERAGE working American already spends close to 40% of thier income in Federal, State and Local taxes. Please show me anytime in history how raising taxes has made an ecomony stronger. It doesn't. Gov't spending is like a drug. The more you spend and get away with, the easier it is to rationalize future spending and tax increases.

DEFENSE:
McCain: US Naval Academy Graduate, retired Navy Captain with Commanding Officer Experience. Not a war-hawk unlike how he is stereo-typed. He truly understands the horrors and cost of war from personal experience. However, he is one who knows how to win if you are in a war.
Obama: nothing to report.

INDIVIDUAL LIBERTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
McCain supports the rights and responsibilities of the individual; one of our founding principles.
OBAMA: Group think, group responsibility, "I am from the gov't, we know better than you". I read "1984"...scary.

Bi-partisanship:
McCain: Member of "Gang of 14" which prevented party line voting from paralyzing the Senate by uniting centrist Republicans and Democrats. Numerous bi-partisan legislative accomplishments over long and honorable career. Votes on principal due to strong sense of Core Values.
Obama: Votes "Present" over 100 time in State Senate instead of taking a stance on an issue. No known record of any legislative achievements in US Senate.

So, if you are going to vote for someone to fulfill the Presidency, does a track record and stance on issues really matter? I think so. Every 4 years we vote for change. What kind of change do you want? Be careful what you ask for.

Fantasy is always a good trait in Hollywood...when you are making movies.

Mr. Obama has 2 years experience in Federal Government...he couldn't be a regional manager for a fastfood chain with that little experience. Yet, you folks on the left act as if he is a gift from the heavens.

Fact: He is captured on video as late as 2007 stating he will disarm the U.S.
Fact: He is endorsed by every terrorist, socialist, marxist dictators in the world from Fidel Castro, Kim in North Korea, Hamas in Palestine, Chaves in Venezuela and the list goes on...the real enemies of freedom in the world want this guy in the Whitehouse.

Wonderful, nationalized health care, nationalized oil see Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) Obama supporter, and how about nationalized movies and television. How about a nice 5 yr process to green light any project to assess is political and social impacts. That doesn't include another 5 yr impact study if you wish to distribute out-side the US, as we would not want to adversely impact others without letting them decide on what they want to see from Hollywood.
